Outstanding meal. I had the Steak and Lobster meal and it was terrific. Steak was cooked perfectly (Medium/Rare) and the Lobster was tasty. Good wine selection too. Plus, a very friendly staff. Have fun.

Just when you think nothing can change in terms of excellent service, we were impressed by the highest quality and level of attention given to us by Griffin and manager James last night at this location. Superb! You just need to reopen in Beverly Hills...and bring back the fun and best steak house (best fish as well) closer to us. We also enjoy dining with GM Mark at your Irvine location, another wonderful experience always.... THANK YOU....More
We ate at Ruth’s Chris Steak House for the second time in a week. The food was great (served hot) and the service was outstanding.
I have been eating at Ruth Chris since 1972 (not a typo) - in at least a dozen different restaurants ... and have always considered it the best steakhouse anywhere. When they opened the Marina Del Ray restaurant we ate there a few times (we...live 1/2 way between that restaurant and the now closed one in Beverly Hills). I came to the conclusion that the MDR one was not as good as the BH one. We had lunch today at the MDR one and was disappointed: 1) We ordered the Tomahawk Rib Eye and it came with the meat cut off the bone. We asked why and was told that if we didn't wasn't the meat cut off the bone we should have told the waiter. What a foolish response. We should have been asked first. 2) The meat was NOT tender and had no flavor. 3) Service was pretty inattentive, i.e., not ONCE did the wait staff ask if we wanted our ice water refilled. 4) It was obvious that the men's room was not monitored. It was not clean and there was NO toilet paper! Sad that, at least this restaurant, is not up to the standards that I was used to.More

Had a lovely mid-pandemic dinner outdoors. Of course the steak was delicious especially with the blue cheese crust. Garlic mash was yummy and quickly devoured. Steamed broccoli needs to be charred or have some seasoning. Cocktails were great as well as the hot french bread...and service.More
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to continually improve. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and we hope to have the chance to "wow" you next time you dine with us. We thank you for the review.
The food is always great at a Ruth's Chris! Our server was super friendly and attentive. My daughter and I both had the perfect meal while we were visiting from out of town!
Food, atmosphere, service is always great! We (my wife & I) dine at Ruth's Chris in the Marina more than once a month. We have never been disappointed. The service works hard to understand what the customer's needs are, and responds appropriately & in a...professional manner each time. The steaks, seafood, salads, everything served is great! Ruth's Chris is expensive, but well worth the money!More
I took my elderly mother here after making reservations for dinner. She wore a knit beret to hide her graying, thinning hair. There is an appropriate attire dress code and a "no hat" rule here which makes no sense for them to strictly enforce it...against women when it is men who traditionally take their hats off upon entering an establishment. Also, what about those women undergoing chemo or who need to cover their heads. What about preserving their dignity? The hostess diverted us to the bar area because of Mom's "hat". But, we wanted to eat at the dining area, so Mom was finally shamed into removing her beret and the hostesses had a good laugh over her discomfort. Despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy or full, we could not sit at the available two-seater booth. Instead, we were shoved into a table next to two middle-aged gentlemen who weren't even wearing ties with their jackets. We sat so close, I could hear their conversation. Meanwhile, a group of jovial youths were enjoying their booth while sporting--albeit expensive-looking--T-shirts! Some dress code. In the end, to make matters worse, we were hungry and no one came to take our order. I got the message loud and clear, we weren't wanted. And so I chose to vote with my pocketbook and left.More
At Ruth’s Chris, we pride ourselves on providing all of our guests with outstanding hospitality. We want each of our guests to feel welcome and comfortable, and the dress code is intended to support our goal. We would like to look into this situation further...More
High-end, steakhouse chain with 500 degree plates (like, the plates are literally 500 degrees to keep your steaks warm). Came here to celebrate the sis getting a job, and made a reservation for 6:30 on a Sunday. There’s free garage parking, which is nice because...street parking would be next to impossible. There were a fair amount of other groups celebrating birthdays, and the dress code is business casual. No midriffs are allowed either, so I had to keep my coat on to hide my crop top. We were seated at a booth, and the chairs were high but you really sink into the booths, so the table might be a bit high for you. For food, we did enjoy a nice three course meal. The complimentary bread they serve was also fresh and warm, and worth noting. We got the calamari which was like sweet and sour version seafood version of the typical Chinese dish. It was nicely fried and not rubbery at all. I got the crab cakes which came in three, although note by this point I was full of bread and calamari so I feel like I should’ve just gone with the appetizer size which comes in two. It was nicely cooked and had plenty of butter, so I can’t really complain though. The creamed spinach we got as a side is considered a classic dish and was very creamy, but the shoestring fries were a bit disappointing as they were bland. The way it’s served also is awkward because fries kept falling into the table whenever we tried to take some out. The steaks were good and the only difference between them was the cut - the seasoning is all the same. For dessert, we ended with the chocolate duo which had chocolate mousse and chocolate lava cake. The mousse wasn’t too sweet but had too much whipped cream on top. I preferred the lava cake with the vanilla ice cream, although it was pretty small. I also wish that they cleaned the tables in the middle of courses the way they do at Morton’s so that we don’t have to see the remnants of food accidentally dropped (that’s a minor point though). Service was nice and they did come around a couple of times to refill waters, although they were slow to bring out a fourth set of plates and utensils since there were only three set up already but there were four of us. Bathrooms are in the back right behind the large wine wall, and there’s no free WiFi. The little mints they have are like the chickfila mints, so def grab a couple on your way out. Overall it’s a typical experience you’d have at a steakhouse like Morton’s or Flemings; pricey but solid food and service.More
Not recommended. Unprofessional service and food not up to standard. Have visited in many other cities and we have always had a great experience. This one in Marina Del Tay was horrible. Stay away.
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. This is certainly not how we wanted your visit to go. We'd like to learn more -- please consider emailing us directly at comments@ruthschris.com with your contact information, including a phone number. Thank you!
Went as a family for Thanksgiving and found they were serving turkey and all the trimmings. The service is always exceptional, as the steaks are. Well done Ruth Chris.
Went to one of my all time favorite places for Thanksgiving this year with family as we have done for 10 plus years. From NY to Orlando, Anaheim, Marina Del Rey, Cabo, StL, Houston, Chicago, New Orleans .. etc. Never disappointed. Consistent food and very...good service. Our server this time was also very good. My 15 year old Grandson had just had a bday and passed his Drivers test and for months I had been promising him if he passed that the Virgin Pina Colada at Ruth’s (we both always have for celebrations) would be on me...So, I ordered it up.. first thing...the server came back and told me that despite us being amongst the first people in the door that day... they were out of the coconut mix to make a Virgin Pina Colada from. Now, in the uber on the way to the restaurant we passed 5 or 6 very open very large grocery stores... where they sell Coco Lopez or many other kinds of Pina Colada Mix. Ruth’s was going to be extremely busy that day and were likely going to be disappointing others . We were under the impression that there may have been the mix in the Restaurant but maybe the bartender did not wish to go down in search of it. How does a restaurant of this caliber that is probably going to have it’s busiest day of the year not have all of it’s supplies on hand to serve their guests requests? ...(or out go get them) The food was good , the value of the food was also good. We noted that the portions of the turkey meal served this year were less than in years past or at other Ruth’s Chris’s and the wonderful little tasting to go bag was way less than years past. We all appreciate the little tasting bag. We have told people about that great Thanksgiving Meal and special part of the meal (the little take home bag they give you) for many years and in many countries. We better go to another location next year or the group wants to go to the New Del Friscos Double Eagle on Santa Monica Blvd. It is more $.. but portions are more in line. DelFriscos Double Eagle is out of Texas and is a great steak house and the LA one does not disappoint. If you go to NY or Boston,Dallas , Ft.Worth, Houston, or LA try one. They are great.it is not the same as Del Frisco’s..... it has to be Del Frisco Double Eagle. (NYC and Boston were the best) I do have to say when we went to Ft.Worth there was a Capital Grill, DF DEagle and Ruth’s next to each other. A group of my clients, co workers and myself tried a different one each of our three nights and DF did not win the vote. DFDEagle Boston is the most beautiful! I am doing a client event in Denver and there is a Ruth’s there that I am hoping to do a restaurant “buy out”. It’s still a great steak house.More
First of all, people that hate meat would get an excellent meal here. They have excellent salads with great baked potatos. For steak lovers, this is the place for you. For example, a filet mignon is small but thick awesome steak. They serve it to...you on a 800 degree sizzling plate. It smells better then anything you`ve ever smelled. The taste is so rich and delicious.More
They added $ to our tip on our card card slip twice. Spent a lot of time trying to get a hold of management and then they handled this very poorly. Will never go to a Ruth's Chris ever again.

We just stopped for a drink and sat outside on the balcony. Server was attentive and the manager came by to ask how we were doing. Will be back for food.
