This Fatburger is located in a strip mall in Marina Del Rey. It is near the AMC theater, it is small, so if you use the theater as a landmark you will find it. Parking is easy right in front and free. They have indoor...and some outdoor seating. The service is friendly and fast. You order at the counter and if you are eating inside they give you a number and bring your food to you which I like. I had not been to a Fatburger in years so had questions. The staff was very patient with me and helped me order exactly what I had in mind. All of the employees, less 2 had their masks on. In the City of Los Angeles it is the law. I was not pleased. One had his mask below his nose (like not wearing one at all) and was preparing food. The other had an LA mask and did not put it on once. It was around his neck the whole time. I think he was done with work, but he was in the cooking area the entire time, no mask and grabbing bites to eat. I took a photo of him. Again, not pleased. But I did not reduce a rating for this. I assume they will get it together when they get my letter. Again, the staff I dealt with was very nice and helpful. The food was great. I had a chili burger and fat fries and it was fresh and came out hot and exactly the way I ordered it. My husband had the regular Fatburger which comes with all sorts of lettuce, onion, mustard, and tomato. He also had a chocolate shake, which they hand scoop make. It was great. I should have gotten one. I will next time. The tables were not cleaned between visitors and they had the staff to do it so they need to work on that. We had to clean our own table. The inside is cute and comfortable. I liked it and despite the few issues I will be back.More

There burgers are basic at best, not worth it. But they have some really great French Frys. Also the cookies and cream shake is good, the chocolate one is terrible though. tastes like Herseys chocolate syrup poured in it.

This review is based on observations, not actual tasting of food. I walked in and there were 3 people in line ahead of me. The line just never seemed to move – I don’t know what was taking the cashier such a long time to...input a simple order. As I was looking around, the server brought out some food to one of the few tables that were occupied and did not seem to know which food went where. He just seemed disoriented. As he brought unclaimed or refused food back to the kitchen, I noticed the fries. They were golden burnt, not golden fried. Whoever was frying up those spuds failed big time – the fries looked completely unappetizing. They were that burnt. Since the line was still not moving, I glanced at the burger prep area and saw the female cook pressing her ladle vigorously on top of the ground beef, thereby squeezing out any moisture which might have made the burger acceptable. Without any movement in my line, and having seen enough, I headed out the door and went straight to In-N-Out where their usual sad wilted fries were at least edible.More

In the many years that have come and gone since I moved to Los Angeles, I had never walked into any Fatburger, because I'm mostly vegetarian. However, heard a radio food show host say that the plant-based Impossible Burger, offered only at Fatburger and Umami...Burger, was sensational, that even voracious carnivores would love it. Stopped in at Fatburger in the sprawling Marina del Rey shopping area and got one with the works on it. Great texture and flavor, seemed like the burgers that I had as a kid. The toppings were all very fresh. Also got their sweet potato fries, which were the best that I've ever tasted. You do not want to ruin these with ketchup. Really crispy, tender inside with a rich flavor, steak-cut style. The Impossible Burger is about ten dollars and does not include any drink or sides, but it is very satisfying. The staff was friendly and efficient. They have some cool black and white posters on the walls with 1950-60s musical acts (Dion and the Belmonts, etc.) and the perennial B.B. King.More

Burgers are fresh and made to order! Established in 1952. I recommend the "medium" burger with everything standard, american cheese and skinny fries!

So I love Fatburger, have since they opened long ago, this location may be the reason I don't care for it very much, sort of crammed in, hard to park at times small and feels a little dirty. Not dirty with trash all around, but...like maybe it needs a cleaning. It's probably because it's limited on outside light from the front. Staff s great, but just doesn't have the feel....More

Burger was ok, juicy /greasy to much lettuce to make the burger seem bigger. Fries were good. I would go back but I won't go out of way for one

Don't be put off by the name. We love their turkey burgers though. Great lean meat, fresh bun, any condiment you want and always tasty. Fat frys are crisp on the outside and soft inside. Always really hot and freshly made. Usually blasting oldies music...we enjoy and lots of interesting people to watch. Where could you go wrong? Also they have two for one specials often.More

Its a dirty grease ball burger. If you're looking at Fat Burger, I suggest doing In 'n Out or better yet, actually go to a good burger place. However, if you have no other option, then at least you know this will fill you up....You may not feel all that healthy afterwards, but you'll be full.More
