Best wedge ever!

All the negatives in the hundreds of reviews are true. The place is very loud, and it can be chilly inside, and it’s a bit expensive. On the other hand, I found the servers to be very friendly and the food I ordered was quite good. I had, of course, read many of the reviews so I knew what I was in for. I sat at the bar and ordered the wedge, and the peeled shrimp with rice. The shrimp (BIG portion) comes in a slightly spicy yellow broth and the rice is on the side. Also, as noted in most reviews, it comes with a huge serving of soft white bread. That, along with two glasses of Chardonay, tax, and tip came to around $80! Not cheap, but really more food than one person needs. The wedge was probably as good as any I have ever had-that good! If you go, order the wedge-you won’t be sorry. The shrimp was fine-good actually and, as I said, a very large portion. Summary: Pretty darn good, all things considered.

Great Fried Shrimp

We enjoyed the Fried Shrimp, unfortunately our baked potatoes were sub par as well as the tasteless cole slaw. We did not want fries and asked if they had baked potato which we ordered. They arrived and had pieces of bacon and the potato tasted like bacon and it was cold and undercooked. Sent them back and they brought back the same potato's and equally under cooked. The manager came by and apologized and with the shrimp being fantastic we did not rasie a fuss over the potato's. We were not happy that we were not told there was an extra charge for the potato. The Shrimp was Killer and loved it. Potato and cole slaw not so.

Nice view from their deck

We stopped in on a Saturday morning for a light breakfast. They have seating outside, along the pier, for nice views. The fruit bowl was nice and filled with fresh fruits. The Killer Tots were incredible, tasty, and spicy… yum! But the service was mediocre. We sat and waited about 15 mins and our server never returned, so I got up, sought out another server and asked for my bill, which I got, but they gave me no pen to sign it with. Overall, food for our visit was decent, but service – nahhhh….

Son found hair in shrimp unshelled broth

My son’s found a hair in his shrimp unshelled broth. The server replace his shrimp unshelled broth but was not comp after already eating some shrimp and broth from the contaminated broth. My family will not be returning.

Underwhelming Experience!

We stopped here based on the reviews. While the view of the harbour was nice, the food was terrible. My wife and I had the calamari; it was over-cooked and underwhelming- the worst we have ever experienced. One member of our party of 4 had the fish and chips and said it was good. The other member had the seafood salad and it was large but seriously underwhelming. Service was good. Overall rating 2/5!

Terrible Experience

When we complained to the manager about our $21 mussel appetizer comprising only 12 mussels, he wasn’t interested. He was even less interested when we explained that we were only able to eat nine of the 12 mussels because the other three hadn’t opened. Yet, after spending another $200 on food and wine, the mussels still showed up on our bill. Don’t waste your time going here. There are much better places to go that actually care about customer service.

Food is horrible!!

I was there for lunch with family, been there before and perhaps wrote a review. It used to be decent 5 years ago or so but now it is not: lobster mac and cheese smell old and dead lobster, the mussels were probably dead the day before with a bouillon that tested like bad water. My lobster bisque was more cream than lobster and old cream, returned it! Menus changed, some good items were removed and of course prices went up. But most importantly is quality, which has been down the toilet long time ago. Lobster bisque, mussels in white wine, lobster mac and cheese, all of those dishes were horrible and it used to be pretty good in the past but not now,,

Great Breakfast by the Marina

Wish I could start my day here everyday! We went to Killer Shrimp for breakfast, and it exceeded all of my expectations. The setting is great, wasn’t too busy, we were seated on the patio overlooking the Marina. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito which ended up being one of the better breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. The portions were large, the quality was great, and the price was extremely affordable. I’m from Vancouver BC, and typically a breakfast of that calibre goes for $20. I would 100% comeback to Killer Shrimp and try more of their menu.

We had the spicy shrimp pasta delicious. The seared ahi tuna was yummy. The waiters were rushed, sweaty abrupt over worked and hurried. They were very late in serving the main entrée of 1 of us and he ended up eating alone.

Food was good, service was beyond terrible

I had not been there in a very long time and wanted to take my boyfriend there last Sunday when we were in the area. It did not start off well when we asked the waitress if there were some menu items that were not spicy. Her response was no and not willing to assist at all. We did find something on the menu and ordered the calamari and an ice tea. The ice tea had to be several days old and we mentioned that it was beyond cloudy to the waitress and her reply was what was the matter with that. Hmm. Then we ordered a diet Coke instead and she asked if it needed to be refilled which it did, she never came back to refill it. She brought bread and when we asked for butter, she said they were out of it in our part of the restaurant and she would have to go to the front to find some...she never brought any. We did order the lobster mac & cheese which was delicious and also the shrimp with mashed potatoes and asparagus which was also very tasty. So basically, the food was yummy, the service was pathetic and when we mentioned it to the manager, she was not helpful at all.

Wow! We went for late lunch on Dec 3, 2022. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. Service was really quick - the restaurant was only about 75% full. I ordered shelled Killer Shrimp, and my wife had shrimp scampi. The Killer shrimp was amazing. The broth was really tasty – just the right amount of zing! And there mast have been 20 jumbo shrimp mixed in. Maybe the best shrimp meal I’ve ever had. I also had a side of mashed potatoes, which were also really tasty. My wife’s shrimp scampi was excellent as well – grilled just right. She had a side of asparagus which was also really good. Price was quite reasonable. Between the quality of the food, the reasonable cost, and the beautiful day, it was a great experience.

We had a mixed experience here- but not enough positives to make us want to ever return. Decent appetizer (poke tacos), terrible cocktail which was refunded and inedible kids spaghetti which was not refunded. Inedible spaghetti? Truly. First served without marinara, which was later delivered cold in its own dish and eventually heated. Once marinara was added we found the dish was full of water hiding beneath the pasta. Lobster roll was fair, bathrooms were filthy.

Awesome manager

I had a lovely evening tonight with a dear friend at Killer Shrimp. Our waitress was wonderful and very accommodating. And to top the evening off we had an amazing time learning more about this location from the conscientious manger named Page. She too was accommodating and very conscientious of the needs of customers. Page had such a pleasant personality and her dedication to the restaurant was impressive. I definitely look forward to returning for music and the comedy experience. Thank you for a respectful and pleasant experience!!!

after reading the reviews, I expected great seafood. I ordered the blackened salmon which had great flavor however it was dry. Service was slow because there was a lot of people dining in. Hostess was busy and tried to make the best out of the slow disorganized system. Would not recommend due to the boring food and lack of leadership in the management

Decent food amid constant crashing cacophany

I don't think I have ever been to a louder restaurant. Everyone had to yell just to be heard which only increased the noise level. Do not come here with anyone you actually want to speak to. The food is OK, some pleasant sauces complement well prepared seafood. Not sure how a restaurant can run out of wine glasses but hearing plates being constantly dropped might explain it. Really hard to justify the price.
