Great view from the patio of the beach and marina. Breakfast menu is 'fancy' as opposed to straightforward pancakes, eggs, etc. But good. Service was fine. It wasn't crowded. This place is in a hotel but there is access directly from the beach.

Beautiful waterside dining area. The patio seating is the best place to eat. The menu is limited on weekends but you can get a nice assortment of egg dishes or a burger. Servers were very nice and accommodating. One hostess would not seat us outside...enough tho there were quite a number of empty tables. I asked a second hostess and she happily sat us outside. Valet parking but about 2 blocks away you may find street parking.More

I was driving… Nice people. Great ambiance. So, I couldn’t drink. The bar was inviting. Nice people. Great ambiance. Overlooking the beach. I ordered a late-late lunch, (and used their ladies room). Classy menus: drink and food. No veggie burger with egg option available. No...burger(s) at all available. The menu was classic continental pub fare with a touch of global fusion, if there is such a thing. I ate the appetizer mezze (serves 1 or 2 people). Enjoyable. Exceptional customer service from host/hostess to bartender. Nice people. Great ambiance. Very nicely maintained like clean and cared for well.More

My husband and I went for breakfast - Our server, Susie, who at the beginning was very attentive, after she brought food never came back - we had to ask 2 times someone else for a refill of coffee - my eggs Benedict (with crab...cakes) had a huge piece of shell that almost broke a tooth and a piece of unidentified thread - after many attemps to call her - she finally came over and said it was normal since it was fresh crab and that she was going to tell the Chef -It was a windy morning and We were bith cold, so we asked Susie if we could have the heater on, she said she was going to ask someone to do it - It as the last we heard about the heater (nobody ever came) I requested a mimosa (took about 20 minutos or more to bring and then unfortunately when I reached out to grab my napkin I spilled it all over the table - Needless to say - nobody was around to clean it or to at least hand us extra napkins- I kept in signaling for her to come but she never did - Finally I went up to her and told her and she said she was going to send somebody - after waiting for over 20 minutes (no one ever came) we requested to talk to the manager who came and apologized, offer a replacement halfway cleaned the mess and left. We never saw Susie again at our table - so we had to stand up and look for her to hand us the bill. Although the place is really nice This experience ruined it.More

Foodies and deemed this a fantastic meal. Started with the charcuterie board which was was priced well for all it included - 3 cheeses, sliced meats, fruit, olives and thinly bread (I prefer this). We couldn't decide if the grilled octopus or the branzino -...was better. The spiced octopus was paired beautifully with an eggplant puree (I think). The branzino included a lovely coating of spiced pistachios. The presentation on all 3 was well top notch. My only complaint was when we drove in the valet said I needed to drive around and come back at 4, when we had reservations - mind you it was 3:50. It appeared they had a busy weekend, however, once he saw my partner's fancy mercedes, we were told we both could park. They charged me to park but not him. Petty and it did make me shake my head in bewilderment.More

Fabulous food, great view, awesome chef, Must make reservations, this restaurant was busy. We could not get a table, however, there was plenty of seating around the restaurant on the lawn facing the beach.

We have come to this restaurant since it was a hidden gem, situated poolside at the Jamaica Bay Inn. Back then, it was anything but fancy. Just some serviceable patio area with some casual tables and chairs around a pool that has seen better days....Since it overlooks Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey, it was a nice setting. The now-named Beachside Restaurant still has the Mother's Beach setting (no pool) and nicer tables outside that are well spaced for pandemic dining. But the food and drink prices have really risen to the point where I feel there are better options out there. To add insult to injury, at least on the weekends, there is no more free parking; instead, you can pay $7 for valet parking or $5 for self-parking. We asked about restaurant validation and we were told it is $5 WITH validation. The brunch menu is not extensive but does have bagel and lox, a Cubano sandwich ($22), eggs and hash ($18), ricotta pancakes ($20), chilaquiles ($18) and fancy french toast with fried chicken tenders ($18). We had the latter two and they were tasty enough, though overpriced. We did take a look at the dinner menu and were shocked to see entrees at $32 and up (e.g., pork Cubano at $36, Branzino at $46, tomahawk pork chop for $52) . Definitely no longer a neighborhood casual hang. Likely won't return.More

My family & I came to Beachside Restaurant & Bar & we were VERY DISAPOINTED! First of all they did not let us choose any of the foods we had previewed on their menu at home, online. Second of all the description of view was...very deceptive. What you see from your seating is a somewhat dried up beachside, And some sand/dirt. What really upset us were the OVER PRICED drinks. And the menu selection. We would NEVER come here again. We would NEVER recommend this place to family & friends. My bill was 100.00 Shrimp Fettuccine, 3 drinks & some dry bread with no taste ricotta cheese. For 100 bucks?!!! totally unexceptable! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY at this place!More

First of all, the customer service at the beachside grill was absolutely amazing. Kenny made sure we were well taken care of and drink refreshments came promptly. Food was amazing, tuna tartar is a must! Wagu beef and double cheeseburger cooked to perfection. Bee-u and...Ariel in valet couldn't be any more professional and kind to us, great customer service all around friendly and quick! Just awesome!More

The outdoor seating is lovely. The service is friendly. The menu is alright and the fruit bowl was good. The coffee is really terrible. Otherwise this is a good hotel option.
