Been to a few branches around LA. Santa Monica and Brentwood the most but dropped by the outlet in the marina last time we were in Town. I suppose the best way to describe Sugarfish is that it is a good standard, reasonably priced and consistency at each branch and between all of them seems to be high. Think of... More

I love sushi, so I had high hopes for Sugarfish. We had difficulty getting in a few times, but we finally decided to wait it out (without a reservation, on a weekday). The restaurant is very cramped and there is barely any space to wait inside. We were able to order drinks while we were waiting, but I was a... More

Beware. This place will only seat parties when all guests have arrived. But then, if you try to join a party later, even if there is a chair available at the table THEY'LL REFUSE TO SERVE YOU!!!! It happened to me yesterday and I have vowed to never set foot on this place again. My wife and kid wanted to... More

Sushi is special in LA, and Sugarfish is spectacular. The fish is so fresh it nearly wiggles. Sashimi served over warm rice--yum! Try the Trust Me menu and let the chef delight you. It draws a big crowd so try off hours.

Unfortunately disappointed. Sushi serving was great, but unfortunately i didn't feel the real fish taste! :/ fish was without any taste! How it can be? :/ It was quite expensive and not worth it!

I'm not a huge fan of Sushi - but my sushi-loving son is. He took us here for dinner and said - just trust the chef. We did and we were not disappointed. Freshest fish I've ever had. And if you like pilsner style beers - order a Sapporo - a lighter style beef that really goes great with sushi.

Superbly prepared, simple Japanese food served by friendly, efficient staff. No wonder the place is always packed. Does not take reservations, so be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes.

The buzz around this place made me grow an expectation for a great sushi. I've got disappointed. Nothing to write home about. It is noisy. The food was average, nothing more.. No reason to come back

Went to this restaurant for lunch based on a trip adviser recommendation. Food was delicious, staff were professional and friendly, and they didn't want to be tipped - a very pleasant change.

Amazing fish quality, fresh and generous. We did not try their famous menu but had different dishes for a decent price. Great service, very competent and fast. We'll come back soon!
