I've been coming here many years. The omelets are pretty good and the biscuits are great (large and fresh from the oven). Breakfast burritos are huge and excellent. Their dark roast coffee is the best restaurant coffee I've had in a long time. Nothing on the menu will shock you with originality, but it's a good place to go. Lunches... More

There is a reason the Local Yolk has been a staple in this little MB neighborhood for over 30 years! One of the best values for breakfast around. Go hungry because the plates and portions are very generous. We often split an omelet plate when we don't want to eat too much. Each breakfast comes with a choice of bread... More

You can't beat the Local Yolk in El Porto. We've been loyal patrons of LY for decades. Our go to for breakfast, but love the Marathon sandwich. Excellent made in-house chorizo. The vibe is laid back. Decor could use a refresher.

My husband and I had massages scheduled at the Sand Spa, located right next door. The Local Yolk was a perfect spot to grab a quick bite beforehand. The biscuits are a MUST try. They are warm and fluffy and completely delightful with butter and honey. We also enjoyed the oatmeal and fresh fruit bowl. The environment was friendly.

Great place for breakfast when I was a kid, and still a great place. Go hungry, because the portions are very big.

Thoroughly appreciated the extensive menu. Settled on the Jalapeno hash with poached eggs. Absolutely great! Also enjoyed the big homemade biscuits with honey. Great people, great setting, great good. The perfect place in Manhattan Beach!

This used to be a favorite when we lived in this area so we thought we'd visit It For old times sake. QIt took quite a while for us to be greeted after sitting down. For the most part the food was really good however I don't recommend bacon on your omelet as mine came in crumbles; almost as if... More

This is an older establishment and the food is average. But if you are staying at that end of Manhattan Beach is it convenient and you get lots of food for your dollars.

Loved the menu, did NOT love the service. We waited forever after being seated to a) order and b) receive our food. That being said, the food was delicious and would love to go back if the service was better.

This place is a must try. Locallu operated, and the food was amazing. Get the Jalepeno hash, extra crispy., you will not regret it, especially after a night of drinking
