This is a lovely upscale restaurant with a second f!our dining room and downstairs bar with lots of comfortable seating. Both floors have floor to ceiling windows with probably the best view possible of Manhattan Beach and the pier. Food and drink is priced according to the location and quality of the restaurant. This restaurant is a natural for special occasions.

Came for a birthday breakfast by the beach. We had a 10am reservation because if you don’t get to this beach city early, you have a hard time finding parking.
Due to Covid, the restaurant is taking extra precautions. Temps are taken prior to entry. There are plastic shields separating you from the other tables and they’ve created outdoor seating curbside. Servers are wearing gloves, masks and face shields.
Service was pretty slow, took quite a while for our food. We didn’t mind though-just enjoyed being out.
I had the avocado toast which was yummy and my husband had the chicken and waffles which he loved.
Will def come back. Would like to have dinner next time.

My wife and I had stay'd at the Shade Hotel Redondo Beach and a good friend of our ,"Ted H." suggested we have dinner at The Strand House so driving with our good friend Uber we enjoy'd dinner and drinks. Very impressed with the service and especialy the meal.

I booked The Strand house because of the excellent reviews and the view. We wanted to be somewhere beautiful for our last night in LA. The view and ambiance were incredible. We had the rigatoni and the avocado salad as a starter. Rigatoni was delicious but the salad was pretty bland (both were way too big for a starter) we both had pepperoni pizza, which was mediocre at best (not worth the $22 price ticket) Our waiter was disinterested and it felt a little like he felt he was above being a waiter. I was irritated by the tip I felt obligated to leave. However the evening was made memorable by Albano who was one of the food delivery guys. He was helpful, friendly, genuine and went above and beyond. (The restaurant would do well to upgrade him to a full waiter)
Overall it was a beautiful way to end our trip. Very expensive though!

Went for brunch on a Saturday and had to settle for a sidewalk outdoor table b/c the restaurant's on property outdoor tables were supposedly all booked with larger parties than four people which is what we had. I ordered decaf coffee which was tasteless, not acceptable any time but especially at brunch. The food was very mediocre, nothing whatsoever to rave about. From our table's vantage point we could see the ocean behind us which was nice, but food and service could both be better. Also, at one point, people sat in our restaurant's outdoor sidewalk seating area who had gotten pizza from the place next door and nobody came from our restaurant to ask them to move to the pizza place's outdoor sidewalk seating. Not excited about that either.

Ambience was good, beautiful sunset. Service was ok. The drinks were awful. Margaritas were sweet and syrupy like TGIF, so disappointed. Gin and tonic had flat tonic from a gun vs bottle that you would expect at $17 a pop. Food was tasteless all around except for Gazpacho which was delish. Truffle risotto again tasteless and $44!!!! Brussel sprouts wet and soggy. Yuck! Would not recommend.

Another of our choices for DineLA. Started with seared scallops which were scrumptious, and I had the 10 oz ribeye.Steak was good, and came with very yummy garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes. But the haricot verts were undercooked. They bordered on raw, were too crunchy for me. Dessert was a trio of mini donuts which were warm and fresh. The best part of this restaurant is the view. Should try and get here during the day or at sunset.

The Strand has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean from most tables and is a gorgeous & trendy restaurant. Other positives include excellent salads and the amazing homemade donuts for dessert. Unfortunately, we had very poor service, including waiting 20 minutes for our drinks & water to be brought to the table and having to nearly tackle our server another 15 to 20 minutes later to get her to take our order. Furthermore, the halibut I had seemed to have little or no seasoning and was painfully bland. My wife's Branzino was good, so my suggestion would be to avoid the awful halibut and order Branzino or something else. For a $43 fish entree, I expected more.

A wonderful restaurant with different seatings to suit your taste. You can sit downstairs at the bar with no reservation required. Upstairs with and without sea view probably will require a reservation. There are a couple outdoor seating areas, one at street level and the other on the second floor with a great sea view. On the day of our visit, it was quite windy but patio heaters kept us comfortable.
The service and the food were just amazing. Oyster selection was delicious. I liked the seasoning on the Peruvian style chicken and the accompanying vegetables.
However, the highlight of the meal was the carjjllo coffee with my desert.

I went with a friend for brunch on Easter. The prefixed menu for the Easter brunch was mediocre at best and over priced. Sadly, I only liked one thing from the prefixed menu and ended up with a mandatory 20% tip. I could have ordered Uber Eats and been happier. However, I did enjoy the view and time with my friend. Other than the view, I would spend my money elsewhere.

The food is good, prices are high, patio dining is very well done. They did a great job at setting up seating and mask are used in the city. The meals were well presented and had good taste with some original concepts.

Came in during lunch, sat and waited 15 minutes just to get a menu. We had to watch the waiter serve the couple next to us 5 times, and not once did he check in or ask us for drinks. This was after numerous glancing for eye contact. Was it because our skin was darker than the other couple sitting next to us? I couldn’t say, but we left and glad to find a perfect fish spot just across the street with much superior service and the food was priced MUCH more affordable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing setting, wonderful service and delicious food! This is my second time visiting The Strand House and it is still wonderful.
We arrived with a reservation and the place was bustling....our waiter made great recommendations and we enjoyed our meals (scallops and the branzino...great cocktails too!) We loved watching the sunset. Highly recommend but make a reservation!
(The attached photos reflect half portions as we shared all the dishes with a and the waiter was kind enough to have them specially plated for us. :) )

Awesome experience with beach view and caring waitstaff. My daughter has food allergies, and the server took special care. Absolutely loved the cheese plate and charcuterie board. The nuts on the board were so good we tried to buy some to go.

We had a great dinner at the Strand House. The restaurant is located near the pier with an unobstructed view of the ocean. The indoor and outdoor seating options are both nice and both allow you to see the view. The service was great with the waiter catering to all our requests. We had the pepperoni pizza, tuna, bolognese and fries. All meals were delicious with a good mix of ingredients and large portion sizes. The prices are high so be aware; however, that is normal for the area. A great dinner stop while in MB.
