I have already written a review of Sunset Restaurant which includes great views, happy hour, everyone is there to have fun, locals hangout. Share a dinner. Want to add that they have a new chef Edgar Ramos and he's making some great new dishes. Ask for the risotto with corn, tomato and lobster bits it's outrageous,

Went for an early supper with family to watch the sun set. Stunning location. Food was good not spectacular. We had the lobster warm and it was overdone. However the children had fish and chips and the lobster and crab linguine both of which were delicious. Great friendly service and a must go if you are in Malibu for the... More

Wonderful views at this beachside restaurant! There is valet parking which helps you get in quickly as free parking on street is taken by the beachgoers. Do yourself a favor and have the crab cakes....they are yummy!

My daughters and I had a wonderful dinner here last night. We had an early reservation so we could enjoy the sunset with a table by the window. It was perfect. This is a casual place with a busy, fun bar area. They have an extensive cocktail and wine selection and excellent house wines. For dinner, one daughter chose skirt... More

I made a Sunday brunch reservation here for a work meeting and it was so worth it. The place was packed so we had to wait 10 minutes for our table. But the service is first rate. The view of the ocean is killer and we were seated right next to the open window. The menu is filled with gluten-free... More

The place wasn't too packed although the lounge was busy for their happy hour specials. The burger was actually pretty good and the avocado fries were delicious. The best part was obviously watching the sunset when we notices a whole bunch of dolphins going by in the ocean. Absolutely unforgettable evening.

Ever wanted to be back in that vacation mode ? How about an easy going restaurant steps from a sandy wide beach and the crashing of waves as a backdrop. This is Sunset Restaurant by Zuma beach in N Malibu. It's food is fine but the location smell and sound are priceless. If you live in LA no need for... More

Good place, yummy burger and nice wines. It is a pitty that the restaurant is too small but I love to be there year by year. Great parking service!!!

OK, this place just is not good. Great location, and always packed. I don't get it. I imagine it's a great place to have a drink at the bar. But I've been there 3 times now over the last few years for lunch. Nice ambiance in the dining room, always have a nice server. Always disappointed in the food. This... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
