Four of us had the fish and shrimp tacos, crab cakes appetizer (cole slaw and 2 crab cakes), and entree (salad, fries and 3 crab cakes) all average. the Boston clam chowder was OK- disappointed that the Manhattan clam chowder was not served on weekends. Good drinks (beer, wine, Moscow mules) in plastic cups. Choice of Boston cream pie and... More

Fresh seafood cooked to order right on PCH. Walk thru the line and place your order. Comfortable dining area, reasonable prices, great food, quick service, easy parking, happy campers.

We needed a good spot for a quick, easy lunch before dropping my niece at LAX and the Reel Inn hit the spot. Just beside PCH at Topanga Canyon this is a real gem. Order your fresh fish at one counter and pick it up, cooked to order and accompanied by two sides of your choice at another and then... More

The fresh fish is on display. You select it and they prepare perfectly. A local recommended to us and we will be back. Plenty of other options on the menu as well and a great outdoor seating available.

The fish and chips special can be pretty mediocre, but I always enjoy the fish tacos and the fun casual atmosphere dining right off the PCH after a day at the beach. The beer selection is quite good.

We have being eating at the Reel Inn for many years. After thinking about going there to eat for a few days, we went on Tuesday for lunch. Drove through Topanga Cyn. The food is always good, this time the food was terrible. Some thing was wrong in the food preparation. We all felt sick after eating. Might give it... More

I had grilled red snapper, perfectly done but lacked some spice. Hubby had grilled Cajun shrimp and he loved!! Nice find but would have ordered Cajun spice next time.

Reel Inn is a classic Malibu location. I seem to always bump into folks wearing their t shirt at any beach around the world. And there is good reason. It's one of those people that has history and longevity. The atmosphere is the reason. You just know you're on vacation when you are there. (Even if the vacation is just... More

Went with five friends. They were there before so one of the ladies brought along her own tablecloth and napkins. She also brought wine glasses (as well as wine). You stand in line to order food. The place is indoor/outdoor but with a lot of funk. The food that I had was excellent. Good fish well prepared.

We have eaten here before and I have always liked it but they are sometimes inconsistent. That was our last experience that my husband and I had. I loved my meal and it was prepared just as listed. My husbands meal was not good at all- his fish was rubbery and the coating they put on was not cooked off... More
