on a leisurely stretch of the awesome malibu pacific coast thi understated eatery beckons the seafood afficionado who are here for the food not the decor. All and any type of seafood including wild caught fish, shellfish and crustaceans done any way you want. The halibut and swordfish were well done and the clams and mussels were a treat! And best... We happened upon the Reel Inn when driving thru Malibu. It was perfect. Counter service, really good food and a very pleasant, classic atmosphere. So many restaurants in Malibu are programmed to feel expensive and important yet this one is super for a family that wants to eat well and still have money to send the kids to college! We... More

This is a place to go if you just want a quick meal in a relaxed setting. We had the fish and chips. This fish was good, the chips were cold, but they were replace. The replaced chips were just OK.

Quaint roadside restaurant offers informal, fun ambiance (picnic tables, self-service, seating inside and out) and great food. (Fish tacos are a treat.)

Ate here on a recent trip. The restaurant has a unique way of ordering where you choose you fish, tell them how you'd like it cooked, and then pick your sides. I really enjoyed the food and I thought it was a great atmosphere.

The interior looks the same after 18 years. Casual and welcoming disappointed in the food. Tuna was fine, but not great. Fish tacos were unremarkable. The place was 10% full at best and our food took forever. It will likely be 18 more years before I return.

Highly recommend the fish tacos and any fresh fish. You order inside and seating is both inside and out. Good food - no pretenses!

Came here with a group of 20 to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant has a relaxed and casual atmosphere with a large menu. As a vegetarian, I appreciated the vegetarian options they had. This is not a sit and serve establishment. Meaning, you go up to a counter and then take your food to a table. They have indoor... More
