It's a 40 minute drive so I was hesitant but boy was I glad we made the effort ! Beautiful setting perched on the Malibu coastline with all the tables set out near the beach /cliff edge all our side dining but it it was a bit nippy today so the had heaters strategically placed which made it comfortable .... Sitting at ocean's edge on a December evening - stars out bright and views of Catalina Island in the distance. What a great start. Tough to get a parking place but they do have valet. If you get there early enough you can park on the street. Valet is $8 and is added to your check. Nice bar with a... More

I had the opportunity to dine here twice during my last two visits to California. Each time the food was creative and spectacular, the wine list exceptional, and the service friendly and engaging. I highly recommend Geoffrey's for an intimate or group fine dining experience.

I have been coming to Geoffrey's for years. I love the location and the feel of being part of the Malibu scene. This aspect of Geoffrey's always works. What doesn't always work is the food. Such was the sad footnote to my last visit. It was a big birthday occasion and I was with my wife and close friends. The... More

Have eaten here before, and once again, the location is wonderful, a patio with a 180 degree sweep of the Pacific. Food very tasty. Service was a bit uneven. Took a while to get service once seated, and little things got missed... requests for lemon in water, less cheese on salad etc. Nothing dramatic, but it could have been a... More

We stopped in for a late lunch and found Geoffrey's to be moderately busy. This meal was one of my favorites of our trip. We were traveling with friends. Two people ordered the kobe burgers and they said they were perfectly prepared and delicious. Another had a lobster special which was served with vegetables, a butter cream sauce and a... More

Went mid-week for a work dinner. We were seated immediately with a great table overlooking the ocean. Was too dark to see the water, but the view of the coastline was lovely. Service was great - attentive but not overbearing. Food was OK, not great. Started with the brie appetizer which came in a nice presentation. Good to share for... More

I took my wife and mother-in-law to Geoffrey's seeking good food and an awesome view. We were not disappointed. Excellent service, good (pricey) food and views over the ocean not to be beaten. Outstanding.

I ate at Geoffrey's twice in two days. Thursday we ate a late lunch and it was yummy. I had an exotic corn soup from a place I never heard of. It was very delicious. My choice was coconut shrimp and a salad. My traveling companion had a salad as well. I always drink iced tea, unsweetened. Sorry, Fannie Flag,... More

We were here for lunch, and had a nice table with a view. We saw pelicans flying by. The food was very good. We had the corn soup and the lobster salad. There is not much space to park, but they have valet parking.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
