Don't know how this is not #1 for Malibu. Wine list is great and they don't pick your pocket i.e. You can get a great bottle without being robbed. Dinner for two with a nice bottle is under $200. And you get what you pay for here. Sea bass is probably the best I have ever had. No, wait, it... More

We last dined at Geoffrey's in February and the experience was so good, I posted a review at that time. Earlier this week, we were back in California and it was on my must do list again for this trip. I was somewhat reluctant to go back because I didn't want to have a bad experience after such a great... More

Sea scallops, spicy prawns, and steak and eggs...oh my! The food was off the charts fresh and tasty. Great scenic views off the pacific coast highway make this an excellent brunch choice. The staff was prompt and incredible courteous to any request our table made. Not only would I go again, but i WANT to go again.

We went to Geoffrey's without reservations on a Thursday night and were able to get right in. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Although their prices were a bit high for a family meal, the view and beautiful environment made it worth the special splurge.

Three of us had lunch at Geoffrey's. We almost missed it and had to back in the exit! It was worth it. We ate on the open deck. While dining we saw dolphins swimming in the ocean. I had shrimp and it was wonderful - done just right with a nice sauce. The service was excellent. I was very impressed... More

I expected more out of this surf side restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely and service EXEMPLARY, no qualms about either of those! As a person who is concerned about sustainable seafood, I was terribly disappointed. Farm raised salmon, sea scallops (not sustainable, bay scallops - sustainable) and their swordfish was not local. We saw fresh local, sustainable caught swordfish at... More

We had there our lunch and it was a good experience. The staff was cozy and the terrace on the ocean was amazing. It' a place where you could spend a couple of relaxing hour .

Having read previous reviews I have to say I was very disappointed tonight with my dinner experience.. Overpriced and quite frankly very poor.. I had the raw oyster starter which did not seem fresh ....then scallops which to be fair might have been a wrong choice as I did not like the risotto prep.. However, my four companions had different... More

I just can't explain it. The waiters, the service, the food, the views, all first class. There even a beach access in the restaurant.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
