Typical Malibu- Southern Cal menu with the usual tuna tartare , fish tacos, oysters , burgers, sandwiches, nicoise salad, fried calamaris , risottos ... But you go there for the views and the atmosphere. Very friendly waitress as well ! Will definitely go back and enjoy that unique setting ! After lunch you can enjoy a nice stroll on the... More

Came here for lunch before we checked in. It's the slowest service and getting the food just as slow. There's only 3 tables seated inside as well. We are here for the next two days staying at the hotel. Best thing I can do is write this and not come back.

Typical good Malibu- Southern Cal menu with the usual tuna tartare , fish tacos, oysters , burgers, sandwiches, nicoise salad, fried calamaris , risottos ...yawn.. So you / we are here for the views and the views are outstanding . After lunch you can stroll on the sand - nice service / friendly not snobby which is rare in that... More

I'm a travel writer and relationship expert, and Los Angeleno--a place most people associate with family fun (think Universal Studios) more than romance. So I'm always on lookout for Stay-cation places couples can go and really feel close and glad they made time for themselves. Tourists can dominate in summer months; we have the whole rest of the year, go... More

My wife and I stayed at the Malibu Beach Inn and decided to have lunch here. The setting was beautiful with views overlooking the water. The service was great and the cocktails tasty. I had a lobster roll and my wife had the tacos. Great dishes overlooking beautiful scenery. Would definitely come back even if I didn't stay at the... More

The "fresh!" crab legs my wife ordered were served frozen solid. I have several issues with this most importantly.........at a hotel like this what kind of chef allows his food to be dispatched from the kitchen like that without being checked and, two what does that say about their food storage methods when supposedly "fresh" food is getting frozen...who knows... I had never been to this restaurant before, but our guest had, so five of us went last night. The restaurant is beautifully situated on the beach with a beautiful look out to the water and the sunset. The service was not good, the food was worse. It took at least half an hour to order food, and it was... More

Being on the coast in Malibu, this hotel restaurant has an amazing location with tantalizing views of the Pacific Ocean! The menu was not extensive or extremely imaginative, yet the taste of the dishes settled for made up for the lack of uniqueness. The wait staff and server were extraordinary, remembering this dinner and their smiles even months later. Eye... More

If you're looking for the perfect place to dine and enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean you must go to Carbon Beach Club at the Malibu Inn Hotel on PCH . Excellent service, tasty dishes and a breathtaking view overlooking the ocean. There's nothing like sipping Champagne with someone very special. Definitely a romantic spot!

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
