Figueroa has a few locations, this one is great because it is small and off the main road in Los Olivos, most establishments get pretty busy so this is a good find because people don't usually walk back where this is.. They make some tasty...beers as well.More

We camped up the hill at Figueroa Mountain Campground and the flies were totally annoying. We left for the day and went down to Los Olivos to check out the beer. We had never been in Los Olivos before and found there were a lot...of winery places. Nope. We wanted beer. We tend to check out the beer wherever we travel and we have traveled a fair bit. At this location I perused the menu and decided on the Lizard's Mouth IIPA.I love a good Imperial Stout so figured the Imperial IPA was a good bet. I was right. The beer itself has an ABV of 9.0% and 75 IBU. It was great! I wasn't the driver for the day and had nowhere I had to be and nothing I had to do so I had a second one. Ahhhhhhhhhhh....... The staff at the facility were extremely friendly and great to talk with. We took our beers outside and sat at one of the picnic tables. The bar staff came out and put up umbrellas at each table which was nice as it was a sunny day. We would definitely return and recommend it to anybody who loves good beer.More

Beer is good, no food there although they do allow you to bring it in. We were looking for lunch and their website shows a burger so that’s misleading. Bathrooms are locked with a code lock like they have bums wondering in. If you just...want a good beer they have that. Not much moreMore

This place reminded my British husband of an English pub. It was really welcoming and friendly and the beer is so good. We really loved the taco stand outside. The meat was unbelievably delicious.

First, they’ve moved to a new location — just down the street. Don’t go to the old location and be disappointed to find yet another wine tasting stop where a great beer tasting stop used to be. We love the new, much larger, location —...it’s a great beer hall! We headed straight to the bar and ordered what we always order here — four excellent beers in an IPA tasting flight! They offer two or three other flight options, but we seem to start and stop with their IPAs, including a coconut version this time! When I saw that one in the lineup I was prepared to be unimpressed. Nope. I was impressed — they pulled it off, by keeping the coconut taste very subtle. Just enough to notice and enjoy — not enough to get in the way of the beer. After all is said and done, we remain dedicated fans of the Lizard’s Mouth and Hoppy Poppy IPAs. On this visit, though, we added a pint of a dark Irish stout and loved it, too. The bar staff here are always friendly and engaging. Ask for their recommendations — they know their beer. They have started serving a nitro option or two here, but its availability is periodic. They didn’t have it on this stop, which only serves as a reason to go back. There was a woman selling great looking sandwiches just outside the front door. They appeared to be very popular given the number of them we saw inside. We didn’t inquire about the availability of any other food options in the new location. Chips and pretzels are available. Live music starts here sometime between 2:00 and 3:00PM (at least on the weekends; not sure about weekdays). It’s always been good music when we’ve been there. There’s a darts room in the back and some outside seating for days when it’s not too hot. We will return — soon!More

Always a stop when we are in Los Olivos! Or if we are anywhere within 50 miles! My husband loves the beer, and the setting is perfect for a lazy afternoon sitting outside.

We stopped in for a quick beverage before heading back home. As usual, I had a flight of IPA's. They served 4 for $8, which I felt was a pretty good deal. Each of them was totally different than the others, one was very floral,...one fruity, one extra hoppy and the other more standard (similar to a Lagunitas IPA). I enjoyed each of them. My only callout would be that I wish the server would have put them in order of lightest to heaviest in flavor. I had the very floral one first and it took away from my experience with the next one. The staff was very friendly and the facility is nice. I will look for their beers when I go shopping next time. I was not familiar with Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. but they said they do distribute as far north as SF.More
