Love the alba pizza at the bar. Fun spot with amazing wine selection by the bottle. Get a seat near the fire on a cool day and on the patio in the sun. Breakfast is our fave.

Had long dinner on the patio. Brought a special bottle of wine and the sommelier came to our table and spent a good amount of time with us. Our server (Paula ?) was a long term worker there and we talked and laughed with her towards the end of the night when we were the last table standing.
Taken to dinner for my birthday on Saturday night at 8 p.m. They were out of the first 2 entrees I ordered and service took a very long time and then while we still waiting, they ran out of bread. The wine chosen for by the glass selection was lousy as well. My host's chicken dish was in a reduction... More
Looked forward to lunch here. But not to our terrible experience. We first waited 10 minutes for drink order to show up - even waiter apologized. Our 2 appetizers were very good. Then we waited over 20 minutes for the gnocchi entree - waiter even had to go back to kitchen to check on it. When it came, the gnocchi... More
We stopped for lunch and they had a table ready for us in 5 minuutes, based on so many people waiting to have lunch. One of the largest "Wall of WInes" I've ever seen and a hot spot for tourists and locals alike. Our server shared that this Veterans Day crowd was the last big weeked of the year and... More
Food excellent, ambience excellent, menu choices excellent, staff excellent. There are not too many restaurants in this area or in Solvang. We wanted to have lunch at one of the wineries in the area but none of them do that so we settled on the Wine Merchant based on the menu. It was far beyond excellent! Sat on the patio... More
Agree with most of the reviews. Very casual, pleasant dining place. Place to eat if staying at Fess Parker Inn. Overall good value. Excellent gluten free pizza and home made pasta. Knowledgeable waitress about local wine. A little bit loud to have normal conversation so only 4 stars.
Great service! Excellent salads (we have the steak cobb and the curry chicken) and great wine by the glass options.
Have dined here many many times . Had lunch here on Saturday and have to say i was a little bit disappointed . That is why i only gave it 4 stars. Had the Mykonos pizza and it was very greasy or lets say oil floating on top . Butternut burrata salad, needed more butternut , less cheese, and a... More
