We had lunch here the second time within a couple of years and the quality of food was consistently good, had different salads and dishes,, all was really fresh and tasty. Outdoor seating is good, once back indoors the atmosphere will be back to awesome....Great wine selection and very accommodating service. One of the few places where you can bring a under 21 old minor while visiting the wine country. Much appreciated.More

Unexpected gourmet lunch with friendly service and original salads. Best roast turkey sandwich ever. Potions are very generous. Strongly recommend it.

We were looking forward to returning to this favorite of ours but were a bit underwhelmed. The menu was limited. No service. One had to order at the bar like an English pub. I had cow au vin which tasted ok but the presentation was...terrible. It just looked like a huge pile a food. I could put a plate together better. The setting outside was ok but a big plastic barrier by the street wasn’t too attractive.More

Good simplified menu, well executed. Can choose wines from the wine store's extensive range and consume outdoors (at a premium) , making for an excellent wine list.

We live in NY, and have been coming to winters in Santa Barbara for more than 20 yrs. The food at this cafe is really spectacular. Fresh vegetables and meat cooked amazing ways. The wine stock is wonderful. Even my grandchildren have visited the cafe...since they were children. For them it is the bread and dipping oil.More

While looking for a place to have lunch we happened upon this place. From the outside you cannot get a feel for how large it is inside. Plenty of people having lunch at this white table clothed restaurant. Do not let the white table clothed...tables fool you into thinking this is an expensive place to eat. This is a casual eating place. The food was good, nicely presented and came to the table hot, always a good sign. They have a very good wine and beer selection as well. Will certainly stop here for lunch next time in Los Olivos.More

We always visit the Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe on our day trips there. It is always busy given the food and service are always exceptional. We take the dog, wander the town then drop in for lunch. My wife goes to their fresh...green salads with chicken added and I lean towards the burgers, beef or turkey, that are always great. Despite the activity, service is exceptional and personable. Worth a visit and reasonable prices---plus, if you are not driving, lots of wine to accompany your meal, many from local vineyeards that are not available in your local market.More

An iconic restaurant in an incredible small wine town. Great selection of wine and the food was excellent. Fun sitting at the bar and watching the action. Can’t wait to watch sideways again since we visited some of the venues!

We didn’t have a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table for lunch. The four people in our group had salads, sandwiches or pizza. All the food was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Our server was lovely and attentive. The wine selections in...the shop are massive.More

You can experience various are vineyards’ wines here, which might beat visiting the winery as here is food. Terrific complementary focaccia bread to start and nice dish of olives (not gratis); good pizza (mushroom) with thin crust and lots of cheese and mushrooms; orrichetti dish...overcooked and too much sauce but good flavor; chicken with wild rice and walnuts very good; brisket sandwich disappointing...too dry, bread not particularly tasty, fries just OK. Server was pleasant and charming. Nice ambiance. Busy spot.More
