We went based upon the reviews. It was very good. Everything was very fresh. Especially try their housemade bacon.

This place is so so cute! Its in an old style home right in the Los Olivos tasting row. We had reservations at 5 to beat the crowd. Reservations are definitely a must for evenings because this place is busy! So for Black Friday dinner, I started with a Moscow Mule which was served in its proper cocktail cup and... More

Very tight dinner menu (3 starters & 3 main course) - always a good sign of quality dining in my opinion. Very cordial service, friendly and accommodating and patient - we were a big group. Fantastic butternut squash soup. Lamb looked very good as a main course. Chicken not so appetising. Sensible portions - not too big. The sliders were... More

Great vibe. Butternut soup was excellent. I don't eat meat so server was really helpful eg pouting out meat stock used in mac n cheese. Good wine servings. Clean modern and buzz of diverse customers

We were in Los Olivos for some wine tasting and a friend's birthday party and decided to stop in a Sides Hardware and Shoes for a bite to eat. We arrived around 12:30 and there was a pretty decent wait but there were three spots open at the bar so we took 'em. We were quickly greeted by a super... More

No matter how much you hated brussels sprouts as a kid and have used your adult power of choice to avoid them ever since, you must allow your adventurous "what if?" side to overrule, and try these - they taste like they are a different food and are amazing! Next, forget every other tostada salad you have ever had and... More

Last weekend we were in Santa Ynez area for wine tasting. We had the pleasure of dining at Sides Hardware . Strange name, but the food was terrific. Be sure to make reservations if you are having dinner. It is a very small venue. The service was friendly and attentive. And the food was excellent. The apple blue cheese salad... More

Former hardware store transformed restaurant. Authentic place. Innovative cuisine. Casual dinning. Team made effort to accommodate gluten and allium allergy although no gluten free bread available. Excellent Kobe beef sliders. Had a challenge to get good recommendation for a matching wine.

An odd name, but a truly excellent dining experience. Highly recommended: the lamb sirloin. Served with goat cheese gnocchi atop a bed of haricot verts, it's as good as it gets but there were too many of the latter. The salmon was done perfectly and had a good bit of spice, although the potato cake, which was a childhood favorite,... More

A local recommended Sides, especially the bacon steak. She said it's the best bacon she's ever had. We, however, went for the fish tacos since it was Taco Tuesday. I also had a cup of their butternut squash soup, which was amazing. It's a charming little place, and is actually a restaurant where the original name of the building had... More
