I've lived in Chicago for 5 years and had all the great deep dish places there (Lou Milnati's, Giordano's, Uno, Geno's East), and frequently go to Tony's Little Italy in Placentia which has comparably good authentic Chicago-style Deep Dish. But friends suggested I try Masa so I finally made the trip to Echo Park and here are my thoughts: Pizza:... More

Allow 45 minutes for a deep dish pizza. It, as well as the bread and salads, were all very, very good. The place is eclectic, for instance none of the chairs at our table we're alike and some folks were hanging out on old sofas while waiting for carry out. The neighborhood is odd--"HIV Testing" is the lighted sign in... More

A nice and quiet family restaurant, although I saw more hipsters than families. Anyway the place has very good food. Been there several times. Good deep dish pizza, damn good (gotta call ahead or wait a while if you order it there, but worth the wait). Food service are friendly and polite, no attitude problems, if you know what I... More

At first we tried to get in contact with them which is almost impossible. They seem not to reply on E-Mail since I asked them. (Up to now: No reply!) Even o the phone, the phone rang over a Minute before a guy took up. The Food is good, but unfortunately they only do the delivery with Doorash...

My wife & I were in the mood for pizza, so we asked our friend (lived right off of Sunset) for a recommendation. He told us Masa, hands down, would be the best Chicago style pizza we've ever had. Had to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant is quaint, pleasantly dark & decorated like many of the... More

I haven't been here in over 3 years and it's still the same. I love it. When we arrived we knew we were going to overload ourselves. We ordered a carafe of wine, garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, lots of cheese and lots of meat (for the meat eaters). It sounds crazy I know but the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread... More

This is one of my favorites: good service and food. The pizza is fresh and the Caesar Salad is the best. It's a low key restaurant not too fancy but the food is to die for. However be prepared to wait and enjoy the dining experience.

Living in Miracle Mile I seldom travel to the Eastside of LA. This pizza was worth it. Growing up in Chicago I know good pizza. I grew up eating Lou Malnatti's, Giordano's, Gino's East, Home Run Inn and Italian Fiesta (on the Southside, YUM!). I've had good thin crust pizza in LA. I love Jon & Vinny's but its such... More

Me and some friends came here for the pizza. It was amazing. We ordered a large one which was more than enough for all of us. The waiter told us that we will have to wait as the restaurant was quite busy and it also takes some time for the pizza to be ready as it is deep dish. We... More

This pizza is so good, and so thick and heavy, you will forget that you were ever hungry before. You'll forget what hungry feels like, and you'll probably be so full that you'll sign up for a gym membership on your way home.

Description
Yes, we make Chicago Deep Dish Pizza right here in Echo Park. All of our "masa" (dough) is baked fresh daily in our bakery, and our sauces & dressings are made from scratch. Ingredients are organic & locally sourced whenever possible & we are proud to serve "imported" Chicago favorites like Authentic Hot Giardiniera. Many of our dishes are old family recipes - lovingly passed down. Our Masa family hopes you enjoy your dining experience as much as we enjoy having you. Eat, Drink & Be Merry and...
