Unassuming location and decor. For the price, I was expecting much more attention on the appearance of the restaurant but, I get it, this is about the sushi. This was my first omakase sushi experience... Actually it was more of a culinary adventure... A great bottle of sake and the freshest and most amazing sushi I have ever tasted. Attentive,... More

There is really no competition. People say Q is good, but I don't think it hold a candle. If you enjoy excellent sushi this is the place to eat it. We come here quite often, then try other places and come back to Zo :)

This place is for hard core sushi pros that will eat anything. Omakase only. Expect to spend $150-200 per person with tax/tip. Probably one of the most refined sushi restaurant in LA, with ingredients flown in from Japan.

This place only serves Omakase style. I have been there 7 times now for lunch. Each dish was prepared with such precision. I especially love the steamed egg- smooth with a hint of fish broth. The place serves about 25 dishes of variety of sushi, sashimi, oysters, steamed fish. If you are a sushi lover, this is the place to... More

This was a wonderful experience sitting at the bar and having each piece prepared us. It's one of the best meals I've ever eaten, and I'll leave it at that !

This restaurant only serves omakase and sushi only, with no hot dishes except for a soup. We visited this restaurant for lunch twice. Our consensus is that the sushi quality is above average but the pieces of fish are on the smaller side. We also felt that the higher end seafood were not served. The presentation of the food and... Keizo Seki is a genius. by empowering his sushi master chefs he has created the most unique tasting sushi i have ever had. oh what a pleasurable omakase experience. it still raises the hair on my body! for three hours they fed us, one piece of awesomeness after another. every piece required the purposeful closure of every sense except taste... We were in the Los Angeles area for some business meetings, so I was pleasantly surprised when it was decided that we'd go there for dinner; I'd bragged about just how good this place was, so it was more a validation than an outright surprise. Obviously it wasn't my first visit to Sushi Zo, but it was the first visit... More

It's unbelievable when he makes it. Other time, I had omakase where another sushi chef made it, and I had 25 pieces, but only 8 types of fish. it was pretty disappointing. the three ways were: soy sauce, salt, and truffle salt, which didn't really do anything for me. But when Keizo makes it, it is the best sushi in... More
