The main difference is that you get to choose your own toppings and see you pizza in the making. The restaurant is beautiful but the overall environment is that of a fast food.

Great place and good pizza - I tried their Margherita pizza and quite enjoyed it. You can see them as they make their pizza thanks to their open kitchen and also huge brick ovens. More reviews on my blog - sugarspicenice.in

We have been in 800 Degrees Pizza place in Westwood Village, near UCLA a number of times and they are always exceptionally good. The pizzas they make for you as you select all the items including sauce and toppings are always super tasty. The crust is crispy and thin, the sauce is absolutely delicious and the the cheeses, meats, and... More

We'd been traveling for a great cause and eating quick meals for over a week. We finally stumbled into 800 degrees and had one of the best meals of our trip. The true freshness of the ingredients make this meal great and personal for each of our group. It's more than a pizza place, it's a great face for an... More

I love this place and one of the reasons is the quality pizzas that can only be achieved with quality ingredients. I had not been there in a while but today when I went to get my pizza the mozzarella is not any more the fresh mozzarella they used to use. There is no doubt is not the same thing.... More

Recommended by friends in UCLA as a local gem. Fresh dough tossed in front of you, straight in to the stone oven and straight down the hatch. Delicious and really reasonably priced. Decor is amusing with one half of the place looking like a old British stately home, completely with dark wood walls and chandelier and the other side a... More

Good but not great pizza at a decent price. You build your own pie while waiting in line and the sign that says no matter how long the line there is always a place to sit is indeed correct. Terrible bathrooms but what do you expect for a campus joint? You get your pizza very quickly too.

Pizza backed here is not the best. It often happens that either the ingredients are wrong, or pizza itself is raw. And one thing and another, especially another, are disappointing… not Italy. But it's not Italy where pizza must be perfect, and here such small mistakes are OK.

The food was good and service is fast. If you like pizza (who doesn't), you need to give this place a try.

800 degrees is novel in that you move along a line and have your pizza created for you. Many high quality toppings to choose from. This is much more like the pizza you find in Italy. Quick service, reasonable prices, good selection of salads as well.
