Went to Cliff's Edge for dinner with our great pals! What a meal! The menu is designed for sharing and sharing we did. Octopus, heirloom tomatoes, Parker rolls (2 orders - they were amazing), cauliflower, pork loin and red snapper and more. Simply said - don't miss the opportunity to try this place if you find yourself in Silver Lake,... More

The Cliff's Edge is quite a find. Its ambiance is superlative, its service sublime, its food might seem too beautiful to eat, but do NOT make that mistake. Even the drinks were fun. In a non-solicitous way, one of the owners and the manager made us feel welcome. The olives made a fun appetizer, and the beet salad was awesome.... More

A tree-shrouded patio lined with bamboo provided an outdoor ambience that made this a unique dining destination. Sadly, the food wasn't as interesting. The burgers we above average. The shaksoka looked like a bowl of canned tomatoes and didn't win much approval. Definitely not worth the price. However, the smoke salmon and eggs did pass the taste test. Our party... More

This place is a dream for visitors to LA - we sat outdoors in a tropical garden. Staff were probably the best during our visit to California - warm, friendly, knew when to leave you alone. The menu was original and everything had an intensity of flavour so often lacking in US restaurants. My recommendations are the breakfast hash and... More

The restaurant is placed on a hill so some of the tables are outside under the trees with a fire pit and heating lamps I'd the dark. I found it fun. The food was odd, the duck tasted like a slab of flesh, not exciting, the Brussels sprouts were crunchy with a lot of lemon. I liked the banana split,... More

This looks kind of un welcoming from the outside but a neat place inside. This has old movie theater seats in the bar and nice patio seating. We ordered a few interesting sounding drinks which were good. They also had good wine selection. Basically there are a bunch of different shared plates to try, The rolls and brussell sprouts were... It was our first night in LA and we had made reservations about a week in advance . We had wonderful service and this restaurant has a very strong wine list . The food is very fresh farm to table fare. The tree growing through the roof is very thoughtful . Would go back if in SilverLake :)

I visited with two friends on a Monday evening. There is an extensive patio with satin, but with lighting that is too poor to see the menu. The menu describes three categories: Appetizers, Starters and Entrees. The only bread available is listed as Parker House Rolls, and they are $6.00. We ordered them, and they did not contain any salt,... More

We went there this evening and the place is most unique. There is a huge tree sort of in the middle and seating all around the room on different levels. Tin ceilings over part and canvas ceiling over the rest. Bamboo growing around the edges. Food....most unusual and menu difficult to understand. The entrees we had were excellent..Bocaccio was the... Taken there for Sunday brunch by local friends. Very busy and we had to wait a while to be seated despite having reservations. An unusual and charming courtyard filled with bamboo. Buzzing atmosphere. Standard brunch fare but well cooked and presented. Very efficient and friendly servers.
