My cousin took me here years ago, and I've been craving the huaraches since. This time we ordered huarache with carne asada and al pastor. I preferred the pastor which was more flavorful, but my daughter preferred the asada. Both were very good. The super huarache has a slightly larger piece of fried dough and comes with green/red sauce if you don't mind your dough getting soggy. We also got cantaloupe, cactus with chia and horchata drinks. I didn't know if I'd like my cactus drink, but I did although like most Mexican drinks too sweet.

First time visit so we had super huaraches, a "shoe-sized" thick corn tortilla with salsa, sour cream onions and your choice of meat. They also have a veggie option. Don't forget to order one of their agua, we had the watermelon (delicious) and piña, complete with nice big chunks of juicy pineapple!

If you want a torta, taco, handmade quesadilla--this is a great little place on York. The pork tacos have a bit of spice to them. The chicken is the better choice if you do not like spice. The handmade quesadilla is also a great choice. If you want some authentic Mexican food without paying a lot, I highly recommend this place.

The first time I came here to try their huaraches I was absolutely amazed on how delicious the food was, the tacos were amazing too. I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants in the Los Angeles area and this place is way up there in the must try out level.

Great place for a quick (cheap) tacos or a more consistent lunch. Great variety of fresh juice. Very authentic and typical Mexican joint with great people !

This place is a gem! Very small but very delicious! Tacos are good but the huaraches take the cake! I've had the huaraches with Asada, al pastor in both regular and super also in the wet variety.. What can I say.. I never had a bad huarache! They have a wide range of aguas frescas. For those who deprived of the Spanish language that means fresh flavored water such as pineapple, hibiscus, tamarind, watermelon, melon and much more.. This place is cash only and feels like home! Especially with the ladies cooking up a feast resembling my aunts and grandma! Lol go try it! They have been on the LA times in a must eat article!

Ok if you have seen my reviews I am CHEAP I love great food but it has to be a value and here it is both. Love the pork ribs is green sauce which comes with a big piece of grilled cactus, rice and beans which are both delicioius . They have the refrescos fruit drinks which are great. Try a huitlacoche quesadilla or taco. Huitalalcoche is known as the mexican truffle it is black and earthy and is actually corn smut to all the non mexicans out there. No ambiance and service can be lacking at times they seem to have a hired a young guy who is pretty good though. Food can come out a little slow in all honestly. Great place for breakfast or lunch or dinner with a buddy. Not a date place, foodies will appreciate the quality of the food .

Their main feature are the huaraches with your choice of many fillings including nicely seasoned chicken, beef, shrimp, chorizo, etc. They also serve gorditas, quesadillas, burritos, tortas, tacos, sopes, and pambazos. The salsas you can add are all very fresh and varied and the cold drinks include many unusual flavors including melon and horchata.
