This used to be a favorite. Chef Todd Barrie was amazing. When he left the prices went up and the quality down. The service has been suffering too. The reviews also went down...until a publicist took over. Chef Todd is still available for catering, but not through the restaurant.

Went for a bite after a matinee at the Geffen. Ordered heirloom carrots and lamb flatbread AND a tasting flight of Rioja wines. After the flight was poured, woman came over and explained each wine and why its interesting- also in what order to do so. They were all delicious and I'm glad I followed her advice of tasting order.... More

We went there for a Groupon wine paired dinner. Sometimes when they see that, you get ignored. Not here. The food was first rate as was the service and the wine parings really made sense. Hard to believe the fois gras was art f the deal but it was and since my dining partner was not a fan, I got... More

This restaurant is frequented by locals as it is well priced and has an amazingly extensive menu They have very good food well presented by friendly staff one of whom is the owner. It has an amazingly extensive wine list and a very long and interesting food menu Our meals were good but just a little salty for me I... More

We've been here several times before and thought this small, quaint restaurant would be romantic and fun for her special day. I was spot on as it did deliver what was expected. It sits above The Wine House up a driveway in the rear. You can be assured that the wine selection is special. They feature different wines by the... More

The menu is confusing as the food is "paired" with wine---indeed a different approach but a little difficult to comprehend when from salad through entrees are scattered amongst white and reds! The atmosphere is local and genuine with mostly comfortable seats but no round tables The food is average given all of the other outstanding LA establishments that are near... More

My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner, having never gone before. They really are into wines- which neither me nor my wife drink. That's OK. We went for the food. The menu is varied. I think a chef runs the show here b/c he/she has a bunch of special, unique items on the menu. We were not... More

This was the perfect choice for dinner with friends. The food was amazing and the wine pairings were perfectly matched to the food. I highly recommend the four course tasting menu. Great value for the cost!

The food and service here make for a wonderful combination. Great for couples or groups the small, dimly lit dining room makes for the ideal ambiance for any number of occasions. I've been both with friends as well as on date night and have an amazing experience every time. The wait staff is incredibly well informed on the wines and... More
