Although Providence is expensive, it is worth every penny. My friend and I chose the 12-course, Chef's Tasting Menu plus the prawns and a very good bottle of wine. It was amazing. Portions were small, some just a bite, but the flavors were so distinct and varied, we actually found it just the perfect amount of food. I highly recommend... More

Having heard this restaurant held previous michelin stars, we decided to give it a try, michelin no longer allocates stars to the city of LA unfortunately. The food was excellent and we did the mid degustation, complimentary serves were also provided which did not disappoint. The only drawback is the price.

We went there last year to celebrate our birthdays and decided to go again this year. A bit disappointed. The place was loud and the food did not taste as good. Half the items were the same as last year. The price increased from $210 to $220/ meal. The one dish I liked was crab wrapped in a thin layer... More

I have tried many renowned restaurants in Los Angeles area and the Providence is so far the best among them. Service can be considered to be excellent but still can have some improvement such as when a customer needs to go to the lavatory, it will be better to have someone doing the lead and to take the client back... What a fabulous place. We didn't know that other than some "add on" specials the entire menu is three levels of a tasting only type. You choose the level, decide whether you want wine pairing with it and they start bringing small plates of delicious food. You do have choices for each course and they ask about allergies. Expensive but... More

I love Providence. I have been here a handful of times over the years. Every June, they have a marked down tasting menu for around $80. This is a great deal as it usually is much more than that. Sadly, I almost never make it out here in June so I end up paying full price. That said, I never... More

Providence is a unique experience. The quality of the food is outstanding , the creativity is off the charts and the service just awesome. It is pricey but worth every penny. Great place for a romantic dinner, even at the bar.

Read all the reviews decided I needed to try. Hands down the best service I've ever had in the states. The wine list was amazing. Every thing that came from the kitchen was amazing. This is a MUST

We come here every year when staying in Los Angeles. Absolutely lovely. All the staff showed attention to detail and it seems that they read from your lips. We never have to ask for anything. Again, we chose a 7 course menu, which delighted us. It between we were surprised with small amuse-bouches that got us even more excited about... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
