My spouse and I recently went to the Catalina Jazz Club (as it's alternatively known) to see Lynda Carter (it was a great show!). The Catalina is relatively small venue where there isn't necessarily a bad seat in the house, although the seating does wrap around in a full 180 left to right of the stage, so seats at the... More

If you want to listen to some good jazz music & have a great dinner. Catalina bar & grill is the place to go. Restaurant is spacious & the staff are friendly. Evening entrance is through the garage. $6 flat fee for parking. We had the beet salad & mushroom ravioli. They were both delicious. You need to buy the... More

I was in LA for only 24 hours and discovered that Oleta Adams was singing at the Catalina the evening I was in LA. So my wife and I ventured to the Club no knowing what to expect. There entrance is in the back through the parking garage. But don't let that deter you. When we entered, the venue was... More

Hubby planned a surprise birthday evening for me and we popped up here to catch a dinner show staring the legendary Pancho Sanchez! this was such a treat because of the intimate setting of the place. we were able to sit right up front and almost touch the musicians and their instruments. This was so much better than a huge... More

Went for dinner and a show on Saturday night. The atmosphere inside was great...did a good job with the interior design. Other than only a handful of tables behind posts, not a bad seat in the house to see a show. However, night went down hill from there. Tables for two are very small and crammed close together. It's difficult... More

We booked tickets for a dinner show to see Thelma Houston, great show by her and the band. Really disappointed that dinner was not included and the opening act was a spoken word poet - not particularly enjoyed by the majority. Meals were nice enough but very expensive - 2 mains, 2 desserts and 2 sodas came to over $100.

This club is a rare gem. Books all the top flight jazz artists, great ambience, great service, food and bar. Monty Alexander was phenominal. Have waited years to see him.

Went to see Kashif. This is a great venue for him I felt up close and comfortable with the artist. It had an old time jazz vibe with low lighting and most tables sitting no more than four. Depending on the artist entry fee can be from moderate to a little high. They offer VIP and general admission but based... More

Great Show with Barbara Morrison, I loved it! But the dinner wasn't a big deal actually. Pitty. I order a "New York steak" and it was pretty bad quality.. I hope it was just that dish.. next time i will order something else. but the show... oh lala I really enjoyed, the ambient, the acoustic, the service actually great!, and... More

Barbara Morrison was the performer for the entertainment on Friday night and as usual, Barbara does her magic. She is a true professional and can bring the Ella, Billie and Bessie into a wonderful blissful sound. For dinner, I had the Filet and the beef was cooked perfectly. Eduardo, our waiter, is always a professional, truly courteous and on the... More
