What a shame. This was a total disappointment. Truly. The idea of being there was exciting. Amazing history. Perhaps for a drink and conversation it would be just fine. If you eat there don't expect much. Everything - (small portion)is served on such a small ( old, old, old beat-up plate - almost like a saucer), I guess to make... More

This was my first visit to Musso & Frank Grill at the recommendation of someone that loves the place. We went for breakfast and greatly enjoyed the attire and personalities of the wait staff. Our waiter was amazing and made us feel very special. I ordered a breakfast dish and was not disappointed. As a regular coffee drinker, this coffee... More

Went on a busy Monday night with no reservations, sat at the bar for 30 minutes until a table was ready. Bartender was great, good bourbon selection. Had a steak - NY strip - very good. Wait staff was friendly and competent. Would definitely return if in the area.

We decided to go here as all the reveiw books say how good it is and how long it has been there so it cant all be that bad we thought. The main restaurant was incredibly busy and noisy but as this was a friday night this was what was to be expected. We were given iced water as soon... More

It was to be an amazing dinner but all it did was leave a bad taste. It was loud, like there was no way for us to hear each other over the noise level. It was 6 on a Sunday. We had reservations, so seating went quickly. The waiter showed up right after we sat in a booth and offered... More

Friendly service, loads of opportunities to spot celebrities and great food. Prime rib was enormous but delicious as was garlic chicken. Three entrées between 2 adults and 2 kids ample. Not cheap but worth every cent

It was a pleasure to enter a very stylish Grill House. The twenties style was a pleasure to behold and the original menus on the wall were a proper piece of history. The strangest thing was all the serving staff and front of house were male. I don't remember seeing one female waitress. Anyhow, the food was excellent with a... More

Had a great time visiting and eating here. The place feels like old LA and is called a must eat spot being one of the oldest restaurants on the strip. Although the food was very very good it wasn't amazing and for the price we paid was a little high. That shouldn't deter you from going here though as the... More

Hadn't been in a while, my ex got custody of our usual Friday night spot in the split. Went back and cried I'd missed the most wonderful waiter, J***, so much. He'd become family, had served my mother and father, all my family, all my in-laws, all my clients, all my dates before I got married. All my girlfriends, all... More

The Hollywood Boulevard sidewalks are crowded with tourists from all over the world. It is a noisy, in-your-face neighborhood, but inside the Musso and Frank Grill is a different world. The décor is old-school, dark wood, booths with white tablecloths. The waiters, in uniform, have been there forever and they know their business. The food isn't spectacular, but it doesn't... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
