I ordered an Amaretto and soda, they say they searched high and low, but their delivery was delayed and that they were out of stock. “I have something close” but it was not. Later in the meal we ordered a bottle of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon...15. Again they looked an found it was out of stock, what we received was not anything similar in taste. All that being said, it was a good meal, with the Steak Frites, OUTSTANDING! Their Apple Tart dessert is very good. The Crab Cakes are too small even with two per order, but good. The Calamari was a bit chewy, Beef Bourguignon, let someone else at the next table order it. I only tasted both of these,my opinion only.More

It was a 2+hour commute from Laguna Beach to a preDisney Hall Messiah Performance, and we were shredded from the traffic. Angel', our server, quickly put us at ease and whisked a downtown elyx cocktail in front of us, and life got better. We shared...a wonderful chicken liver pate with roasted bread that was delicious. And, at Angel's recommendation I ordered an entree' size of the garlic roasted calamari (usually an appetizer) that is my new favorite way for preparing calamari, which are roasted in a garlic and wine sauce with crimini mushrooms, blistered tomatoes and peppers---out of this world. It is a nice brassiere close to various attractions, the interior is elegant reminding a certain French taste and the food is good. Not at the same level its service, not so careful and at the best to be defined as standard.

It used to be great for many years, but new owners have ruined it. Poor service and a ratty looking dining room show an inexplicable and sad lack of pride in the establishment.

My friend and I were seated in a quieter, larger room to the right as you enter the Brasserie. The food was expensive, but well done. I had salmon and avocado and a salad. I shared some of it with a friend who joined our...table. My friend had a steak with fries. Tres elegant! Swank!More

We went for dinner and had a very good experience. The barramundi was pan seared and accompanied by vegetables and a tasty sauce. The steak frites came with cooked onions that accompanied it very nicely. We shared an apple pie with vanilla ice cream. One...of the best I could remember. The service was friendly.
