My mom finally got me to the west coast where she grew up and DuPar's is one of the restaurants she used to go to and when booking this trip to Cali. she was listing certain restaurants (like twoheys for instance) and i was like okay good. THE PANCAKES ARE HUGE AND FLUFFY! SO SO YUMMY! My mom loved it.... More

Went here for lunch ( had dinner there as well) the place feels really authentic, old school diner style. Excellent service, good food. Didn't try their world famous pancakes ( next time) The burger was delicious, anazing, super crispy onion rings, boring sallad but all in all a very nice experience.

They pride themselves on having the best pancakes (according to Esquire). They were okay, but not the best I've had. We ordered two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, and hash browns and our bill was $40! That's way too much for average food. I should have known better but did not follow my first mind. You can get the same "average"... More

If you like the idea of paying $40+ for two dried out miserable BLT's and two coffees (in fairness the coffee was fine and service was ok) this is the place for you. If not walk another 10 yards into the market and get something worthwhile for half the price.

My girlfriend and our 2 teenage boys had a late dinner here this evening after walking to The Grove as we're staying nearby. Our waitress (I wish I'd got here name) was very sweet and friendly. She was very patient, cool and funny with our boys and as I wasn't very hungry she advised I just had 1 pancake. 1... More

This has to be one of the worse meals I have ever had. My turkey dinner was tasteless. I didn't know turkey could be running, but it can. Mash potatoes weren't cook with any salt. Veggies has obviously been baking on a warming table. My son reported his burger was "ugh". Skip it ..

Somehow this place symbolizes the Los Angeles of a bygone era. You go there, and suddenly you've passed through a time warp, back to the days of the big stars. Yes, the food is fine. Breakfast is exceptionally decent. But it's the experience of being there that's what really counts

We saw a movie screening and were very excited about being at the Grove except that all of the restuarants were closed when the movie was over. We did find, however, that Du-par's was open 24 hours -- being from NY, we thought, 'OK - diner food, not a bad way to go.' Well, unfortunately, while this place was only... More

We had just eaten at another restaurant when my husband informs the group that were around the corner from Dupar's who has the world's greatest pancakes. Believe it not, the majority decided that we had to have the pancake experience right then because who know when we would get out this way again. So, we ordered a full stack of... More
