The Vietnamese was booked out so we went next door for lunch- big mistake. The god send was that it was cheap so I don’t feel totally ripped off. We had the chicken and snowpea which was white processed chicken slithers with white water chestnuts...in a white gloopy cornflour sauce with snow peas being the only colour and mild flavour. Also had the pork Mu Shu- 2 pancakes - which aren’t pancakes but soggy tortillas. Only saving was their stuffing which tasted edible. Basically flavourless food served by a grumpy abrupt waiter so no tip either. Very quick mealMore

We were staying at the B & B next door and were tired from travelling so were looking for somewhere close or eat. We didn’t expect too much from the look of the restaurant, but the service was excellent and the meals served were all...of a good size and tasted delicious. They were also reasonably priced. They also deliver to the local area.More

One day, while driving a long cut to get home, I happened to see this restaurant and was SO excited because the next closest chinese restaurant closed a few years back, then the 2nd closest and I was feeling stranded on the bluff with no...options. I made a mental note and now, within the week, I came to try it! They have a bunch of lunch options - I'd challenge anyone who says they can't find something they want to eat. It was available super fast, cheaper than I'd expect coming from a sit-down restaurant. You could even probably split the entree between 2 people because they give you a pile of rice. The flavors were as I hoped they'd be and the temperature stayed great even after I drove back to work and walked to my office. Right now they don't have a delivery driver, but I'll check back often - and until then, I'll just pick up. For me it's super close and they have tons of parking out back along the Ballona Marsh. Stop, take a deep breath and relax! That's what your lunch break is for!More

Szechwan Palace is a great place to eat. This time we were a party of 12 and had multiple dishes. All the food came out hot and tasty. I recommend the Mu Shu pork. Their sauce is exceptional. We have had several different dishes and...they were all wonderfulMore

I ordered a Pu Pu Platter and Shrimp with Veggies for take out. It took me 10 minutes to get home and when I eagerly opened up the cartons, and to our dismay, the food looked just as nasty as it tasted. It was completely...overcooked, tasteless and just plain bad. The fried shrimp was like cardboard. The fried wontons looked like shriveled testicles and the broccoli in the entree was so mushy, I couldn't even use a fork to lift it up to my mouth. The egg roll was so over fried, it tasted like a rolled up newspaper. I called the restaurant to tell them I was very upset at the quality of this "food". The woman/owner(?) was really defensive and rude, telling me that's what a pu pu platter SHOULD look like and that the food was FRESH at restaurant, but that she can't HELP how it tasted once I got it home. HUH?? I told her this was totally unacceptable and gross and if we had been at the restaurant we would have sent it back, demanding for it to be taken off the bill. I asked if she would refund my money and she told me I had to DRIVE IT BACK TO THE RESTAURANT AND SHOW HER, BEFORE SHE WOULD GIVE ME A REFUND. So...I did just that. I packed up the rest of this CRAP and drove it back to the restaurant. She was waiting for me by the door with a big scowl on her mug. She shook her head at me as if I WAS RIPPING HER OFF?!? TACO BELL would have been 10X better and less expensive than this sorry excuse for a dinner. She opened the bag and inspected the boxes, GROWLED at me and said THESE ARE EMPTY. I said, no they're not. And she said THESE ARE EMPTY. And I said, no they're not. And again she said THESE ARE EMPTY. And I said no they're not. There is 1/3 of the entree left and almost 1/2 the POOP POOP platter left. I stayed completely calm because I knew that I was not leaving the front of her establishment until I got my refund. After making me wait for her to complete two phone calls, she VERY UNHAPPILY gave me my refund (MINUS THE TIPPPPP?!?) and I said THANKS and walked out. Let's be real folks, CRAP FOOD AND CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE is not the way to go in a competitive market. What ever happened to having pride in your business and "the customer is always right?" She was a nasty CRANK who had no customer relation skills. Would NEVER go here again.More

We stopped for shrimp lomein, steamed rice and Szechuan green beans. All were pretty good, but nothing special. The hostess/cashier was barely friendly at all, but the waiters were better. Parking in back of building. Cleanliness in the dining area was only so-so too, carpets...need to be cleaned up a bit, a vacuum would work.More

If you want a quick, cheap filler meal and are indifferent to indifferent service, this is your place. Not some where we can recommend at all.
