We really like this place. Lots of food at a good price, and very old-style Chinese. No "fusion" and nothng trendy. (Reminds me of when we ate out as a family when I was a little girl.) Chow mein, foil-wrapped chicken, sweet & sour, etc.. Consistently good.

Okay food. A good place for lunch. But it is the average type place. But we all need those. The veggies are fresh. The meat is good. Service is spotty. Too few waiters for too many tables when I went today.

We've been eating at Toluca Gardens for many years. The Chinese food is consistently good, with large portions, but also they offer a choice to order half sizes, which is an excellent idea. It now offers Vietnamese food, too, and while I'm no expert on that particular cuisine, I enjoy what they serve. If given a chance to either order... More

Chinese food is my favorite and this is one of my favorite places to eat it. It's not much for atmosphere but the food is great!

The food here is generally really good - and their lunch specials are super. There are a few dishes that are only so-so, but the rest are spectacular (way better than good or average). Singapore noodles are a favorite, as are Salt & Pepper Shrimp. Service is always really good. We like to eat here and people watch from a... More

Toluca Gardens is always my go to place for Asian food, they have a terrific lunch special and always great service. The value is also good. give it a try if your tired of hamburgers nearby. It's a great place to enjoy a meal!

We switched to this place pretty fast. It offers the highest quality Chinese food I've found in the area that will deliver to my apartment. It is slightly more expensive, but the increase in quality is definitely worth the extra dollar or two a plate. They've always delivered on time and the food is always good quality! I would recommend... More

What started out as a good Chinese restaurant then added Thai fare seemed to lose direction.

This place bills itself as the best Chinese food in town. It think it's the only Chinese restaurant in Toluca Lake. As for the food...to say it's average is being kind. The walnut shrimp was slathered with mayonnaise, giving the seafood little chance to express itself. The orange peel chicken was passable. The pan fried lo mein was overcooked with... More

I was in a hurry and actually asked if the chicken dishes came out fast. I was told they did and they were right. I don't do spicy, so I order the Cashew Chicken. It came out fast and hot. It was tasty and filling. The restaurant is simple, but nice inside. It was clean and busy on a weeknight.... More
