Barbara's at the Brewery offers inventive dishes in a unique setting with a focus on sustainability. The relaxed vibe is perfect for casual dining or drinks with friends. service can be slow during busy times and prices may be on the higher side for portion sizes.

The burger was good. The service was fast I finished the burger. The bun is too soft to be true and the flavor is really good.

I love this place. Fun and easy. Today I had the Thanksgiving sandwich. OMG, the best 🍗🥪. I like the casual atmosphere and everyone I bring here loves it as much as I do.

Imagine a bar/restauant in the corner of an old factory in a "rough" part of town. You can see it from the I-5 southbound East of LA. Look for the brick smoke stack "The Brewery". It's somewhere near the stack. We were there when looking for a local place for a mid-day lunch. We found it and we'll be back next time in east LA. Good selection of burgers and sandwiches. Probably good to dinner and place to hang while the traffic gets better. Hard to find. Get off the street, see the sign '200 yards left". Don't park by the sign but drive down the alley and you will find parking, and dozens of small businesses. Friendly help, free, help your self chilled water in jugs. Order at the bar, get a number, food comes to you. Best ever Grilled Cheese and Short Rib sandwich. (Will be my leftover lunch today!)

Located in the largest artist colony in the country and just a few miles south of DTLA, is Barbara's at the Brewery. Hidden away among artist lofts and studios is a funky little bar that has some of the best craft beers that I have tasted. Open and relaxed is the vibe here with vintage rock and soul music. So why not swing by and have a couple of cold ones while having some fish tacos? Silly not to! The tacos are very good and piled high with all the fixings. I would have to say that it wasn't my favorite fish taco in the world, but it was really good. My guest had the Tacos de Papa, and that too was pretty tasty. If you check Barbara's out, be sure to have a bottle of the Kombuchadog. It's a Kombucha brewing company that's also a dog rescue. You'll see the doggie needing a home on the bottle!

The wife and I stopped by on our way to a 90th Birthday celebration. Wow! Anyways, we arrived before they opened and waited a few minutes. My wife likes Pale Ales and we tried something on tap she liked. The burger was well seasoned and cooked as ordered ( Well done) There was no pushback about this. Fries were a good amount, but kinda short on the catsup. Anyways, we enjoyed it and made it to the celebration where the birthday girl played some "ragtime" on the piano. Amazing!!!

University bar meets hipster meets art colony. I felt that I should be sporting a fuzzy beard and wearing a lumberjack shirt. It was very cool. Simple tables, craft beer, a diverse clientele. Worth going to if you want an experience to talk about. Neat bar food too, like poutine. Only downside is a lot of the parking is taken.

Its has a small bar area and a fairly good size restaurant area. Food is OK, nothing outstanding for me. Craft beers on tap are pretty good. Its kinda hidden in an industrial area and lots of artist lofts. Go when they have their annual Art Walk.

i was recently at Barbara's for their Sunday brunch. The food was decent but the staff (the women who took our order at the counter) was very unpleasant and should maybe find another line of work. The food itself was okay, nothing spectacular. The self serve water in plastic cups is pretty tacky. There are plenty of other places to eat in LA where they actually want to provide good service to their customers, I think I'll skip Barbaras.

Great place to enjoy a Sunday Brunch! Came here to enjoy some good company with friends and have some tasty food and drinks. Everyone's food came out amazing and there were no complaints. We even decided to stick around and try some of there beers since the atmosphere was very welcoming and inspiring. The bartender was very helpful with selecting beers and we left there wanting to come back again :)

This is an out of the way place that seems to cater to those in the art scene. Unless you are in the Brewery area of LA, you may not ever come across it (either by seeing it or hearing about it). This is a laid-back place where you go to the bar to buy your beverages and place your order. A waitstaff member brings your food to the table when it is ready. We went for brunch and had a wonderful surprise! As laid-back (clean and tidy) as the front of the house is, the back of the house puts out fabulous food. Our variety of food included a salad special (with poached eggs), a brunch burger, breakfast burrito, and eggs Benedict. Everyone enjoyed their food. All of this plus 4 Bloody Mary's (exceptional!) and 2 Pilsners came to $84.26. What I consider a value in LA. Beautiful plating! It was not crowded but it did take a while to get our food -- we even checked in at the bar to see why it was taking so long. So, don't go if you are in a hurry.

This Restaurant is in a big Brewery complex with Artist lofts. It feels more like a hip social club than a restaurant and I loved the atmosphere. Everybody seemed to know each other and apart from all the artists there were lots of people in UPS uniform and then medical scrubs from the Hospital and the Morgue. The drinks were expensive but the food was not at all - don't really understand that part. I had a Kobe Burger which was excellent and my friend had the Salmon, also great. No desserts though because the selection was limited. The Art on the walls was amazing, I guess they change it often to reflect local work.
