The food is so good. My husband and I schlep 22 miles to come here. Their parve vanilla ice cream is amazing. They make there own french fries which is so unusual these days. Their pretzel challahs are delicious. For the chags this year they made wonderful apple/raisin honey challahs-the one for Rosh Hashanah had a hand on it, and for Thanksgiving they did a regular challah in a turkey shape. Thanksgiving stuffing and green beans were delicious. Their beef and chicken vegetable soups are full of meat and vegetables and are so good. Besides the delicious food the customer service for take out is wonderful-LInda and Victoria are so great to deal with. We have been coming here for a long time and it is definitely worth it.

I ordered a few meals from them for shabbos .The food was pretty good, and they even delivered it to where I was staying in the area for shabbos. The women who helped me with my order, over the phone, was impressive and informative too. I even ordered this meal on the morning before shabbos came in and got it all of a few hours later. Overall, not a bad or too expensive place to order from (at least for one person) for shabbos.

We ordered from here for Passover. We were incredibly underwhelmed. We got the mushroom quinoa risotto, expecting a delicious dish with some sort of sauce and a combo of quinoa and risotto or something of the sort.... nope. It was just mushrooms and quinoa, dry as cardboard and pretty flavorless. We also ordered the artichoke beignets. Beignets are usually deep fried fritters, so we thought ‘wow, they’re making beignets from artichokes?! That’s incredible!’ Nope. It was just chunks of artichoke with onions and a sauce. It looked so unappealing. We didn’t end up eating any of it. We were so put off and disappointed and feel like we were totally misled. Why put ‘risotto’ in the name of the dish if there’s literally nothing more to it than mushrooms and quinoa? Why call them beignets if they have nothing in common with beignets? Beyond that, when we ordered, we scheduled our pick up for 9am. We arrive at 9:05am to discover the shop is closed. We found a delivery person out back, who told us they don’t open till noon. Thankfully (or maybe not given what the food ended up being), he was able to get our order. The receipt attached to the bag was not for our order, though, and he had no idea what to make of it. All in all, so disappointed. Feel like we wasted our time and money. Wouldn’t recommend, wouldn’t return. ----- UPDATE: I reached out to the restaurant. I wish I could give this place negative stars after interacting with them further. In response to my note about the poor quality food, they simply said everyone else likes the dishes so I'm clearly wrong. No restaurant is perfect and every restaurant messes up. This place refuses to consider that possibility. They also said I don't respect the restaurant, the staff, the hours they put in, and the money they have to pay for kosher certification.... but seemed to ignore their hypocrisy as they ignored the fact that we spent our time going to pick up the food at a time they told us to that was BEFORE the restaurant opened, the fact that money doesn't grow on trees and we have to work to earn money to spend, and that spending money to get a kosher certification doesn't justify delivering subpar food. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT EAT HERE. THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE ARE TERRIBLE.

I have eaten at Got Kosher (although located in the same place, goes under a different name now) twice previously. I think this is one of the best kosher restaurants in LA or anywhere else for that matter especially adjusted for price. The physical plant here is not fancy. No tablecloths, etc. but the food is great and the prices are quite reasonable. We ordered schnitzel on a pretzel ($15.99), veggie burger ($13.99) and Kansas BBQ brisket sandwich ($16.99). All three were really tasty. Great fries. You can also order Memphis BBQ brisket if you prefer tangier, less sweet BBQ. Lots of other choices on the menu. Service was good. Parking can sometimes be a challenge. I will definitely go back the next time I am in LA.

It's really simple : If you like great tasting Interesting food like I do then you will love ' Got Kosher ' . Proof is in the pudding , words are great but can't possibly describe or convey in full detail the wondrous vibrant flavors I have experienced at ' Got Kosher ' , just go there and become a believer like me , trust me , ' Got Kosher ' has my undeniable patronage .....and I would not write about this if I had not experienced the culinary delights of North Africa, France Jewish and Inspired dishes created by chef Cohen , a true master , greatly Inspired by his families restaurant in Paris,France, chef Cohen continues to surprise us with Incredible culinary creations . Keep an open and adventurous mindset , this small provisions shop that opened in 2009 has become a neighborhood fixture and will surprise you as it did me , great for everyone, family and friends and yes .......you will certainly want to take some Incredible items to go trust me , be well and enjoy ~

Meal: Burnt food, not very edible Atmosphere: Loud, low ceilings. Service: Distracted and not attentive to restaurant goers. Probably will not go again. In general I am not a fan of kosher restaurants. When you compare them to their non kosher counterparts. I wish there was more options for kosher food.

Unlike most Ashkenazi-oriented kosher restaurants, Got Kosher has a Tunisian/Sephardi influence which accounts for its original, delicious array of foods. It also is the only kosher restaurant that uses free-range, grass-red meat products -- and makes its own pastrami! The food is plentiful, tasty, and rather rich -- the challah is "out of this world" -- also unusual (with, e.g., fennel, made of pretzel dough, or tumeric). Highly recommended for both take-out and eat-in!

Went there my wife and daughter and son-in-law. The flavors in all their dishes are really quite good! The carrots/turnips relishes were really good, and quite tasty with their bread! My son-in-law had the lamb shanks with artichokes, I had the lamb stew with prunes and almonds, and my wife and daughter had the salad (one with beef, the other with salmon). We shared two soups between the four of us, and the vegetable soup was really quite delicious - full of rich homemade soup flavor. The lamb in the stew, served over some quinoa (I substituted it instead of couscous), was delicious as well, although I would have liked a few more vegetables as part of the stew. The lamb shanks looked equally tasty, and came with came with some great carrots. I tasted the beef on my wife's salad and it was really good - moist and flavorful. The portions were very generous, and they were definitely great meals. The flavors of these Tunisian style dishes are definitely better than most of the kosher restaurants in Chicago. My wife and I normally don't keep kosher, but we have eaten at a number of the Chicago kosher restaurants - none of them we have yet been at have the rich flavors that we found here. We definitely will come back, and I am anxious to try some of their appetizers (I love a good b'stilla and I would like to see how good theirs is)! They also seem to have a Bar-B-Q on Sundays that looks tempting!

Best Kosher restaurant in LA. Yesterday, we went to Got Kosher for Smokin Sunday. I ordered the 1/4 barbecued chicken with cole slaw and barbecued potatoes. Delish! They brought out a basket of challah and marinated carrots and turnips Tunisian style. We have been there many times. One of our favorite ethnic restaurants in LA.

Such a yummy steak, the pretzel schnitzel is "ridiculous". Huge, crazy meat-lovers menu. Great treat for kosher folks who eat meat rarely. TIP: no liquor license so run next door and buy a bottle of kosher (mevushal) wine! Goes great with the meat.

This place is famous for it's pulled beef. Comes with fantastic fries and a soup (beef with rice was phenomenal). Good wait staff, acceptable cooking time, great food and service.

I went with my family towards the end of our trip. I loved their pretzel challa and The menu seemed extensive unfortunately as someone who gave up eating meat they didn't have a lot of options for me. I weant for the veggie burger and it was good but this restaurant is for carnavores.
