Let me start by saying the place was packed people were waiting outside and people were still coming in when I left at 9:20 PM. Plus it is Zagat rated. I would rate the food average at best. We had the Hot and Sour soup to start. It was good but not the best I have had. The best is... More

Old school since 1977. This is our 2nd attempt at eating at this restaurant, on the weekends call in for a reservation or you might be waiting for at least 30 minutes for a table. We ordered the slippery shrimp, asparagus veggies, veggie noodles, and duck, we were very pleased with the food and the service. They offer valet parking... More

It was full and the service was fast and efficiant, I have had better tasting Chineese food in the past but in general it was OK

We visited Chinatown a few days ago and looked up restaurants to eat while we were there. We decided to eat at Yang Chow's. We had excellent service and the food was delicious. We plan on visiting again before we go home.

This place is highlighted as a must-go-to place for Chinese food in LA. The food was fine, but nothing outstanding- just your typical Americanized versions of traditional Chinese dishes. I was hoping for more flavor, more spice. The service was impeccable and the price was cheap. I didn't have a terrible experience but I will seek out better Chinese next... More

We discovered this place through the recommendation of a Chinese friend (from China) who chose to celebrate his masters degree here. He said at that time it was the best Chinese food restaurant in Chinatown. We agree. We brought in 20 people Saturday night. Service was personal, fast, and absolutely delicious…no dieting here. We needed to get to the Disney... More

The place looks run-down from outside, looks like any normal Chinese restaurant inside but is better than average when it comes to food. Food is good and portions are large. Dumplings and lo mein tasted great. Service was fast and friendly.

Good Chinese food. Reminded me of Philadelphia China Town Restaurants from past. We had Pork Chow Mein and a 3 ingredient, dish of pea pods, shrimp, scallops and beef. Very good. Food came out fast and service was good. Would return.
