I had the 3 taste entree with big tender tasty scallops shrimp and beef. She had cashew chicken with Chicken fried rice. All were super. 4 people service. Zagat awards on the wall. Constant stream of people coming in. Nothing but good here. $25 per person. Left a good tip and we will return.

We went on a Saturday night around 7 pm. I called in advance, asking if two showed up, would there be a wait. They said no. They did not ask if we wanted reservations, because it turns out they accept them. When we arrived, it was full, though we only waited 10 minutes. They like to move people through so... More

We were here twice. The portions are really big and the food is good. We had one of their specialties, with three types of meat (chicken, beef and shrimp), it was prepared with cashew and was very tasty. Noodle was just ok - nothing special. What we didn't like - the staff at the reception desk isn't very welcoming -... More

Finding a quality Chinese restaurant on LA's West Side has been frustrating for this ex-New Yorker. But, I'd expect a much more flavorful experience if willing to spend the time and exert the effort to travel to Chinatown. Such was not the case with Yang Chow. The restaurant was clean; the service excellent; and the management on top of things.... More

Wonderful non greasy Chinese food. I wouldn't recommend the slippery shrimp unless you're into sweeter type dishes. Beer and wine selection is extremely limited. No hard liquor served so bring a flask.

Very good meal...inside nicer than the outside might make you think it would be. Recommended by hotel...a few touristy shops in the same block.

Fantastic chinese dishes in this restaurant located in the heart of LA Chinatown. Famous slippery shrimps are great, mongolian beef is very tasty and tender. The rooms are bit old fashion with plenty of pictures of famous visitors on the walls. Hostesses could be a bit more friendly and waiters also, they all seem stressed to make the tables turn... Visited this restaurant just by chance walking through china town in LA. It does not look much on the outside and probably one would not give it a second chance but once inside it offers a great choice of menu. Ordered sizzling rice soup it was delicious but the second dish was supposed to be the hot sizzling shrimp dish... More

The signature dish that remains one of my all time favorite Chinese dishes in the WORLD! They have not lost their magic formula in my dining there over the past 30 years.
