Fantastic chinese dishes in this restaurant located in the heart of LA Chinatown. Famous slippery shrimps are great, mongolian beef is very tasty and tender. The rooms are bit old fashion with plenty of pictures of famous visitors on the walls. Hostesses could be a bit more friendly and waiters also, they all seem stressed to make the tables turn... Good food. Great staff! You must eat here if you love Chinese food. Get the slippery shrimp and yang chow fried rice.

Visited this restaurant just by chance walking through china town in LA. It does not look much on the outside and probably one would not give it a second chance but once inside it offers a great choice of menu. Ordered sizzling rice soup it was delicious but the second dish was supposed to be the hot sizzling shrimp dish... More

The signature dish that remains one of my all time favorite Chinese dishes in the WORLD! They have not lost their magic formula in my dining there over the past 30 years.

We stopped here for lunch while visiting Chinatown. We followed the trip advisor advice that this was the best rated restaurant in the area. We were not disappointed. I had the Hunan beef which was very good. My family also had the lemon chicken and crispy noodles with vegetables. All the dishes were very large service was great! The dishes... More

Let me start by saying the place was packed people were waiting outside and people were still coming in when I left at 9:20 PM. Plus it is Zagat rated. I would rate the food average at best. We had the Hot and Sour soup to start. It was good but not the best I have had. The best is... More

Old school since 1977. This is our 2nd attempt at eating at this restaurant, on the weekends call in for a reservation or you might be waiting for at least 30 minutes for a table. We ordered the slippery shrimp, asparagus veggies, veggie noodles, and duck, we were very pleased with the food and the service. They offer valet parking... More

We visited Chinatown a few days ago and looked up restaurants to eat while we were there. We decided to eat at Yang Chow's. We had excellent service and the food was delicious. We plan on visiting again before we go home.
