I wanted Thai so I looked up best Thai in Hollywood. This place came up. I am so glad it did. I ordered the calamari salad and it was wonderful. I also ordered fried rice and ribs. Everything was good. The ribs were more like chicharones, but still good. The service was quick and friendly. Water glasses kept full. I... More

Nobody seated us. We moved the tables ourselves. Waited 20 minutes to start ordering. They brought the food to our table and put it in the corner..... Wth. Nobody smiled. They're all rude. Cashier guy with glasses especially and the older lady with glasses. Didnt refill our water. Didnt take our empty plates. We had to walk inside to get... More

We decided to explore Thai town for the first time and ended up at Sanamluang cafe for a noodle soup, as they claim to have the best in town ! Located in a typical mini-mall, this simple restaurant with basic decor has an outdoor sitting as well. The service is friendly, but the two noodle soups recommended were well below... More

we have been comonly available ing here for more than 20 years, and it has only gotten better. This is the only Thai Restaurant I know that serves "kwayteo rua" or River Soup. that traditionally was only available from a canal boat vendor. This dish might be too much for the average westerner, as its main ingredients are beef, beef... More

I've been coming to this place more than a decade, and the place looks the same, and that's how I like it. Nothing change in this restaurant, they still make a mean Pad Thai. Their selections are still the best. The Neon lights are still there and the art deco too. Staff are still accommodating and they're attentive and fast.... More

Sanamluang Café has a great reputation and bustling and busy but I didn't find the food here in any way exceptional other than the size of the portions which were quite gargantuan! There didn't really seem to be many vegetarian starters so I went for the Tom Kai Kai spicy coconut soup which was delicious albeit perhaps a bit on... More

I live in a different state, by this is still on my speed-dial. Amazingly authentic Thai food, very generous servings and open till very late, so you can satisfy any late-night Pad See Yu with duck, as I do. Efficient servers, such yummy food. Can't wait to get back there

This is one of my favorite places in LA! Everything is so good, doesn't matter what you order. It's always busy and open late. The only downside is they only accept cash, no cards. And the Thai iced tea with boba is a great addition to any meal.

In the heart of Thai Town, Sanamluang is authentic! They only accept cash, but there is an ATM in the parking area. Next to a Thai grocery and a Thai sundry store. Food was good, but not excellent.

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
