I had dinner here the night that I arrived in L.A. It was very close to the hotel that I stayed at. The food is pure home cookin'. Breakfast any time. I had a cheese steak that was decent enough, but nothing to write home...More

We arrived late after a delayed flight to the DTLA scene. The pantry was one of the only things open, but it was a good option for some home cooking. I had the ham hocks that came with beans, peas, and the best mashed potatoes...More

This restaurant has been in operation since the 1920's, and is on the list of historic places in Los Angeles. It is always open, no locks on the doors. Breakfast comes with your choice of meat, eggs, toast, or pancakes, or French toast, depending on...More

There is always a line outside, there is even a bouncer kind of a guy at the door. Neighborhood looks fairly safe, and lots of parking next to the restaurant. 2 lines, one for counter service, one for sit down. Took the counter. Thank God...More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering
buildings, bustling streets, and industrial
warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of
cultures here with a growing influx of business
professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of
Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts,
bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly.
Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants

If you ask the gluten free question, this place is not for you. Only one in 2,000 people actually has a possible issue with glutens.. The Pantry is not about health food.
