Turn the corner and discover a very special charming and intimate place away from the Hollywood hustle. This quiet space serves up delicious food, superb customer service and inviting ambiance. Our waiter kindly customized our food orders, was very attentive and even encouraged us to occupy the table as long as we desired. The food was delicious -- from breakfast... More

We went there as part of a party of fifteen for my mother-in-law's 95th birthday. They have a party room (which I believe did not have an extra charge, as so many do). I had the filet mignon and it was the best I had ever had (also the most expensive, but at least at 10 ounces it wasn't skimpy).... More

Some of our group had excellent pancakes and waffles for brunch, while I had excellent chicken Caesar salad with glass of Chardonnay. Good wine options, and free celebrity siting at next table!

Whenever I go to the Pantages Theatre, I always dine first at OFF VINE. The perfect location and the most wonderful food. The staff is attentive and friendly. The variety and flavors of the food will have you coming back for more. You can also leave your car here during the performance. Easy! Wonderful! Yummy!

Although I have been here for dinners before the theater, I decided it oils be a great spot to meet new clients for lunch. Not disappointed! This is a great gem in a chaotic, busy city. When you go for dinner try the dirty martini. One of the best ever!

It was technically after noon, but we were handed what looked (mostly) like a breakfast menu - although it did have a burger and some kind of pasta listed. Fine, we went with it, since we'd just been doing a bit of wandering around Hollywood on a whim (Metrolink from Riverside to Union Station and Redline to Hollywood and Vine... More

I have eaten here many times and it's always been good. But I have to be honest we ate there yesterday with friends and our chicken dish were very dried out. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Pecan Crusted Chicken and both were over cooked and hardly any sauce on them. We should have sent them back but we... More

We were looking for a nice, romantic dinner for our last night in LA. We found it! This lovely craftsman house has great seating inside, but we opted for the front porch and its shade. Food was tremendous. The Off Vine salad had pecans and blue cheese, yum. We also had blackened shrimp with a mango dipping sauce…hot and cold,... More

It's not uncommon in LA to find 100 yr old houses that have been saved from demolition and turned into a business smack in the middle of urban jungle. That is Off Vine - a cute, if maybe a little run down craftsman with tables squished in the old living room and sprawling out into what would have been a... More

It was a friend's birthday and there we were at this little cottage,Off Vine. It was burned in a fire two years ago so was closed. It was comfortable after it was reopened and had a full menu of wine and spirits. The staff was so helpful. They had saved us a round table for 8 people. The service was great... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
