This is the place to go for fun, upscale dining. Get a window seat for a romantic experience with ocean scene views. The bar is great for a quick bite with drinks. The service is spot on. Trendy and luxe at the same time. Not inexpensive but you do get what you pay for.

My husband and I went to this restaurant because of the ratings. But we were disappointed with the service as well as our meals. Our bill was over $125 for the two of us but we felt it was only worth about half of that. Also the vibe is a bit to conservative, business-like and uptight.

Friends from Arizona wanted something new and fresh. They weren't disappointed as I knew they wouldn't. Great value, service and food.

This is a lovely place convenient to all the happenings downtown, so great for before or after a show at The Music Center since it is walking distance from there. (A bit of a medium length walk but do-able if you are in decent shape.) We have never been disappointed in the quality of the meal. The variety, freshness and... More

I've been eating at Water Grill for years(Downtown L.A. Location) and the food and service have always been extraordinary so when clients of mine suggested lunch at the Santa Monica location I was thrilled. I started with Oysters which were awesome and then had the fish and chips for lunch the texture of the batter was light and airy. Highly... More

From the Japanese oysters, to the Chilean Sea Bass, everything is unbelievably fresh. The Black Cod with pork belly is off the charts. Not to mention, top notch service and no corking fees!

The food was the best in town for fish lovers, great service, and very comfortable and welcoming place for lunch or dinner. A must go to restaurant here in LA for locals as well as vacationers to our wonderful city.

This is one of the best fish restaurants in Los Angeles. The fish is fresh and well presented. The service was quite good. The only reservations were the wait time after after arriving for our reservation and it was a bit noisy (depending on where your table is).

I used to have an office in the Pacific Center which also houses the Water Grill so I visited there for business lunches and dinners, etc. When my assistant went off to law school, my staff and I treated him to a send-off dinner at the Water Grill. He was thrilled and we all enjoyed a memorable dining and social... More

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
