We have dined here three times so far, always for special occasions because special occasions call for goof French food, and that's easy to find here. I had always avoided French restaurants because I hate snooty waiters, and France specializes in this category. However, Yelp! advised me that the waiters here--though French--are polite, easy going and helpful, and Yelp! was... More

Small, quiet place not too far from downtown Los Angeles. Tasty food with good service and quiet environment. A neighborhood restaurant with world class food.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a gentleman in the hotel lobby. I'm glad we listened. I had the steak & frites, my wife had the onion soup, our daughter had the duck. Everything was awesome! Including the staff. Very polite and very helpful. The bread is from the bakery down the street and is really good. It does get... More

The small dark restaurant is abuzz with diners and the noise level is extremely high; it is difficult to have a conversation. But the food is excellent, our group had delicious and juicy fillet mignon with Roquefort, very tender duck breast, halibut, beef and frites, beef Stroganoff. The onion soup was good, the escargots did not come in shells and... More

With a dim atmosphere and actual French waiters, one might think this place stuffy, snobbish, but they'd be wrong. Yes, the waiters (and probably chefs) are French, not snooty, easy going and very good at what they do; knowledgeable of the menu and efficient, you'll want to leave a good tip. My wife and I dine here for several special... More

Good service, nicely portioned meals, and superior cooking skills make this a can't-miss restaurant. The filet was excellent. Prior time I had the entrecote--also a huge winner. Salads are very nice also.

Just like being in France. Good is amazing and the ambiance is totally French. Try the beef and frittes or the soup. I just wish they had cassoulette occasionally. Can be crowded.

This is such a charming restaurant. Delicious food, fantastic French wines to go with it, and a helpful wait staff. I take my girlfriend here any time I want to see her eyes shining at me from across a candlelit, cozy table. And all without having to buy an airline ticket.

Small charming place with superb French food and easygoing, helpful wait staff. (They won't bite your head off if you feel like parlaying en francais.) If you can't go to France, let France come to you in little ol' Eagle Rock.

I have visited this restaurants for the past few years. The food has been consistently good, the wine selection is limited but acceptable. It is noisy and dark but tolerable. The service is fast and cordial. The main attraction is the French inspired menu and the specials which take me there every time. Tips! No reservations. Only open after 5... More
