I've been going to Nagao since it opened in 1997 and have never had a bad meal. The sushi is always well prepared and delicious. Moonlight #3, Cajun sashimi, Soybean roll with tuna are all fantastic as well as the ice cream roll. Be respectful and you will be treated well. Don't and you won't.

A return visit will follow soon after this delightful first trip. A decent selection of seasonal specials as well as regulars rolls, nigiri and sashimi available. The TNT and Baked Lobster rolls was outstanding. The sashimi looked great but had to wait until next time. Normally passing on dessert we were so glad we didn't. Green tea and chocolate Moshi... In a town that has the best sushi outside of Japan, one would think that mediocre places would not be able to stay open. This place proves the opposite. I guess that it's convenient for those living close by who don't want to drive. Everything here is below average. The toro was tough. The rolls had too much rice. The... More

My son took us to Nagao on our most recent visit to LA. He told us his partner eats there all the time and I understand why. The sushi is fresh beautifully presented. It is a small restaurant with not a lot of room, but we were lucky in that we went on a quiet evening and were seated immediately.... More

I have been coming to Nagao for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. The restaurant doesn't look like much---it is long and narrow with tables on one side and a sushi bar on the other, and rather drab. It's all about the sushi that is very fresh, inventive and delicious. Nagao serves traditional sushi, but be adventuresome and... More

Nagao is where you go when you want great sushi. If Nagao is not happy with the fish it will not be served. Always the freshest tastes. The service is always with a smile & a suggestion.

My family and I have been dining at Nagao for years. It is extremely small, they won't seat you until your entire party is there and it is really good. The people are friendly and the food is delicious. It can get pretty loud in there, so if you want to have a quiet converstation, this is not th restaurant... More

Nagao is the kind of place you do not want to tell others about for fear you will wait for a table. We have been coming for years & have never been disappointed. The fish is very fresh or Nagao won't serve it. My son & I love the uni & if Nagao doesn't think it is fresh enough we... More

Nagao Sushi is one of my favorite sushi spots. The fish is so fresh that it melts in your mouth! There are a few tables and a sushi bar. The rolls on the menu are unique to Nagao. The sauces her prepares for dipping pleasure are a perfect match for his creations. I love the enoki mushroom tempura rolls and... More
