The food and the service here were GREAT! Loved the diner feel, too. My granddaughter liked the chandeliers (LOL).

We are in LA for a few days (coming from Europe) and searched for something in the neighbourhood of our hotel. Seeing the reviews, we decided to go there and were not disappointed at all! I had the turkey burger which was really delicious and my boyfriend fish and he was also delighted... We only made the mistake to order... More

I had a business lunch here. It's crowded at lunchtime and I would recommend coming later than noon. They don't take reservations and the restaurant is small. Very casual atmosphere. The salads were very large and delicious. Our group had the beet salad, spinach salad and kale salad with various additions of chicken, salmon and tofu. Everyone was happy with... More

Small place, but arriving Sat. at 7:45 we did not have to wait. Nice wine by glass selection, nice beer selection. Tried a mushroom soup special - really good. I enjoyed the chicken pot pie - generous portion with very fresh salad. Traditional, but fresh ingredients, home made style. The buttermilk fried chicken was better. They told us this was... More

The food was good, service was decent, but the prices were a little high. It seems to be a trendy spot and on a Saturday night it took about 10 minutes to get a table here around 9pm. Good beers on tap and the meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes and succotash hit the spot. The portion sizes were decent and... More

I really wanted to take pictures for you guys, to show you how beautiful the food is, but unfortunately for you, we devoured everything with such speed that did not happen. The host/waiter that we had was awesome. He was incredibly personable, helpful with the menu, and had a big smile on his face, even though it was clearly the... More

Within walking distance to my son's apt., The Kitchen provided a menu that worked for every family member's dietary needs. We carried out, and the food was ready as requested and still hot when we reached home.

The place is really nice and the people in there are really nice. On the other hand, the food is not as good as I expected. I ordered a buttermilk chiken (17$) that was nothing special and my wife a Salmon that was very normal (19$). The wine "house wine" was regular, and the deserts were good. The portions are... More

A tiny, hole in the wall place that serves some of the best food I've ever had, The Kitchen is well worth the drive if you're anywhere in L.A. For an appetizer, we had fried calamari, which was delightful with their savory dipping sauce. I also had a bowl of their fantastic sweet potato and poblano pepper soup. The first... More

This place is awesome. It is very casual, very warm and inviting. Loved my meal here and I would definitely recommend the calamari for an appetizer. There's a little bad news - parking sucks and if you aren't seated right away you are out of luck because the waiting area is pretty much nonexistent. However, it's worth the wait! Spent... More
