Despite the unassuming location, the food is of superior standard. Every dish in the pageant of flavour was stunning.

It's was good. If you have not been you may need to stop by. Friendly atmosphere. Parking is a little cramp, but they have valet parking. Try new things is what I say.

I have never seen my wife re-order a dish, but being of Italian (Sicilian) origin, she knows eggplant. The dish she reordered is called Nasu Waygu - eggplant in Japanese Waygu Beef Miso Sauce - it was outstanding! The Yellowtail Special in black lava salt and spicy citrus soy sauce was my favorite - delightfully fresh and just perfect. Come... More

Delicious, fresh, tasty -soy sauce nowhere to be found! Makes sense if you have fine quality sushi. Service was great-located in a strip mall in Studio City/valet parking $5 or meter parking on the street.

Absolutely the best sushi experience on the globe. It's quite pricey, but you won't mind when you taste the chef's menu. One of a kind around the world. Save this for a very, very special occasion.

My friend and I stopped in here for lunch one day after I read some trashy blurb recently about George Clooney being "caught" here with a "mystery blonde woman" (who was just the wife of his friend, who was also there). I figured if it's good enough for some A-list celeb then maybe I should give it a try too,... More

Definitely best sushi in the valley but serious contender for all of LA! Great service, friendly and fun chefs and to die for sushi, sashimi and traditional and modern Japanese dishes! But be ready to spend$$$$.

The quality of the food at Asanebo sets it apart from most of the Sushi restaurants in LA. Please know that the meals are very expensive, but worth every penny. The staff was courteous is not numerous, the decor typical Japanese fare, and the seating intimate in areas. I would recommend the food here for any occasion.

There’s no shortage of expensive sushi places in L.A. I’ve been to many of them and for the most part I think they’re just OK. Even worse many are pretentious and snooty. The only place here I really like is Sushi Park in West Hollywood. That was until I tried Asanebo. We had the Omakase ‘A’ which is the smallest... More

I have been coming to Asanebo for years. Lunch, dinner, business, friends. It is a place I know will never disappoint my out of town guests, especially from other countries. Restaurants that impress are hard to come by in LA. The sushi is simply divine here. My favorite dishes are the Sesame Tofu, Lotus Chips, Halibut with Truffle, Red Snapper... More
