Excellent, very tasty diner food. Comfortable, quiet ambience. Breakfast available anytime. Fun airline and airport memorabilia on the walls.

Recently had lunch with my business associates and the restaurant is good with many varieties to select. Enjoyed the lunch - Sea Food - Alaskan Salmon.

Four friends ate here for a late lunch and we were thrilled with the offerings on the menu and our food. Great, knowledeable service. Thei soup special of the day was to die for! A very complex roasted squash and tomato soup that delighted at every bite. The guys had the short ribs and were happy. My friend had the Thai coconut soup and it was well seasoned. I had the turkey and avacado wrap. All delicious. Good wine and beer selections. Fun, pretty place and worth a drive to get here!

Went to brunch at LuLu's on a Friday. The atmosphere, food and staff were great! They serve a decent portion of food, but I personally felt it was a tad pricey. I was surprised how very few visitors there were, but my friend and I really enjoyed the Bloody Mary's with our great food!

Lulu burger with fries. The bun and meat patty were good. I found the fries to be so-so. They resembled something between a steak fry and not quite a skinny fry. Not crisp on the outside. Sort of a soft fry.

Great food both for dinner and breakfast . Boneless chicken wings in teriyaki are top.
Staff is very friendly even so they allowed my family to park our RV overnight at their property.
Totally recommended .

Great food, happy hour from 5pm to closing in the bar. Its a little spendy if you don't eat at the bar, but they have a delicious menu. The decor is 50's glam. They have seating outside where you can enjoy tbgg e misters.

Went for their Broasted chicken, two days in a row. Sides were also good, I had the fries, which are different from other good fries, really crisp on the outside, almost shiny with very soft insides. My wife likes their veggies, so much so,that the next day she got two orders.
As two the chicken it is great, good size portions, as good as the old Amber's chain[now out of business.
We are happy campers!

Some friends and I would order takeout from this place until we got so fed up with poor quality of the food that we wished we could bring down the cost of our meals by leaving out the sides.

Easy to get in and out, close to Van Nuys Airport. Plenty of parking available. The menu covers all American, Italian and Hispanic comfort foods. The wait staff and managers are super friendly, they are all like family. Service can get slow dur ing peak times, but it is always worth the wait.

A kind of basic menu. Some good items and some so-so items, you need to try for yourself. Great french onion soup!! A family feel, they make you feel wanted. Service is mostly good but can be erratic. Some good dessert items. They have a full bar as well. Overall, I would say a little better than average and senior deals make it a good deal - for seniors. An on occasion meal for me. Worth a try if you are in the area if not for the soup alone.

I met with the owner of Lulu's and found him to be interesting & forthright. I also learned that he has his customers interest in all that he does.
He has a story that needs to be told to help his customers get to know why Lulu's is different from the other neighborhood restaurants. From his handling & development of staff, to his management of food, recipes and service. His perspective is always about his customer's experience.
Stop in & check then out!

We had a group of 20 who visited Lulu's for the first time. We had heard mixed reviews, but always like to see for ourselves. The place probably hasn't changed much since it opened, it has an older look to it. Even though we had called in a week ahead for reservations for our larger group, they had assigned only one server. The other parts of the restaurant were not that busy so they could have brought in another. Even the manager could have pitched in (I have actually seen that happen at other places). Needless to say the food took a while to come. I will say they did get the orders correct. However, as far as taste, bring your own seasoning packets. There is very little taste. The famous broasted chicken is pretty bland and the broasted potatoes are a cut up baked potato with some non-tasty seasoning. The carrot and zucchini that accompanied it on the plate that I thought might been steamed, were hard and it took a knife to cut through it. It takes 20 minutes or more just for that dish. For a small diner, it is a bit pricey. So, if you want to pay $14 or more for an entree, there are other places to go that have better service and flavorful food.

Hungry and looked decent with some okay reviews so I thought I would try. Bills itself as a BBQ place but more like a diner. Lots of options. Cheap diner looks...needs a makeover, but clean and people were very nice.
Wanted to try the broasted chicken but when I ordered they said it would take over 20 min to prepare. So that was a no. I should have known better but I tried the bbq pulled pork sandwich. UGH. This was not BBQ. It was a warmed over school lunchroom sloppy joe. Awful. Sorry LuLu. I will not return...at least not for BBQ.
