Look. I'm not expecting a 5 star meal and I'm occasionally a fan for breakfast. But I don't think I'll ever be back. Basically we're talking about a Jerry's type menu and prices with really third rate food. Let's start with the cup of chili. It comes in one of those small diner coffee mugs. I figured at $6.50, if... More

I was hoping for better food than it offered. Two people got the burger and one gif the ribs and said they were ok, nothing great not bad. The place was cool because it's been there so long. Would probably never go back.

Very expensive and not good food, but I am so excited that I got to be here. Visiting the 50's feels just right :) My fish and chips were very greasy, but the atmosphere is great.

Love this place – a perfect slice of nostalgic diner experience in the right setting. Great for breakfasts and lunches (pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, salads etc) but obviously not somewhere to go for dinner. They now have gluten-free buckwheat pancakes as well. :)

Our second visit to Mel's where the food quantity is generous and the service always fast. Mel's serves all the usual lunch and breakfast items. Prices good and quality fine. Recommended for low key and unpretentious eating.

Take my kids here all the time for breakfast and dinner. They love playing the jukebox and hearing their songs play. The love getting the cardboard cars the burgers and fries come in and ever since I introduced them to the root beer float they have been in heaven. The place has good food and great services. This is not... More

This is the landmark place from the 50's. You walk there and you are transformed into a different era. The food is wholesome, and tasty. The chicken soup gives your grandma's soup the run for its money. Now with clod press juices, the meal is complete.

I went there to eat some real American dinner in some American styled place. I ordered chicken pie. I got a plate of salad, a piece of bread and butter and big, deep plate of "pie" it was vegetables and chicken pieces - small pieces like peas, surrounded by some "see-trough" sauce. I was somehow expecting something else. The food... More

Typical 50's diner with genuine atmosphere. Enjoyed a breakfast of the usual eggs, bacon etc as well as a late night banana split which was shared. Service good. Worth a visit.
