We're big fans of Doctor Hogly Wogly's. My husband and I ordered a trio combo: beef brisket, spare ribs and baby back ribs. The beef brisket was so tender and delicious! The spare ribs were good but we could have passed on the beef ribs; they were huge and meaty but just not as good as the other two meats.... More

I went to this restaurant for two reasons one it was written up in Westways Magazine and two that I had seen this place many many times figured it was a mainstay. I ordered the baby back ribs and beef ribs with baked beans and coleslaw. My wife had a rack of baby back ribs with baked bens and macaroni... More

Almost a hole in the wall restaurant not close to anything special, but the best beef and pork ribs around. Hearty portions in an unpretentious restaurant. Great sauce. Good for take out also.

A family member has been raving about this place for years, so we finally had dinner. The service was friendly and great. They opened the divider between the 4-person booths so our party of 6 could sit together. We ordered several items and all were delicious; brisket, beef ribs, baby back ribs, and chicken. The bread, small freshly-baked loaves, was... More

We stumbled upon Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texas BBQ on yelp and we were blown away by how amazing the BBQ was! The service was great and fast even though it was a full house. Everything about the beef ribs and chicken was delicious even the hot and sweet sauce to throw on top was great! We loved the fresh bread,... More

For years I went here and then we moved. A couple days ago I ordered takeout, the combination, chicken, beef ribs and baby back ribs. They didn't get the order right, which I discovered when I got home. I called the Manager, Cindy, who satisfied me completely re the mistake. Actually, beyong satisfaction. The owner of Hogly Wogly should be... More

We went for a late lunch specifically because my husband was craving BBQ & trying to eat more healthfully the brisket seemed the best choice. We shared one meal with coleslaw & baked beans. It was more than enough. The service was fast & friendly. We passed on the homemade sweet potato pie.

Yeah, it's way up on Sepulveda just before Roscoe - but distance should be no object when you're on a mission for good BBQ. The restaurant is basic and not large. No matter where you sit, you're not far from the kitchen or the cashier. Booths are comfortable. Rest rooms are outside - and super-clean, which is a good sign.... More

Stopped by and it looked like a bomb had gone off. EVERY table was filled with the nastiest dirty dishes you have ever seen. The five booths that had people in them looked at me with the saddest puppy dog eyes ever, as if to say 'we've been here forever.' I stood at the door 2-3 minutes and after no... More

The service can be spotty but the brisket has always been excellent. Sometimes you get wonderful service and sometimes not, depends upon how busy they are and who is on staff. I have eaten at this place many times or have gotten take-out and I stick with the brisket; it's very good. They also serve Hot Links, Pulled Pork, Sliced... More
