Pretty poor customer service. I waited past the scheduled time to call them to inquire about my food (over 1 hour, 10 min). When I did, I was put to the manager who told me I need to call grub hub because, "He had a restaurant to run and didn't have time to deal with me." Really? Would you say... More

I just started returning to Marix after a long absence. No real reason why I stopped going, it just fell off the rotation of regular places I frequented - but the first time I went back, it felt like I was reconnecting with an old friend. For one thing, the place hasn't changed a bit! Same comfy space, same bustling... More

This place is great for people in their late 20s and above. Slightly more sophisticated than Fiesta Cantina down the street, it provides LGBT people a place to grab a bite to eat and quench their thirst with a friendly atmosphere!

Our service was friendly and attentive. Maybe because we arrived at opening, but absolutely no complaints. We shared a pitcher of margaritas to start since we were on vacation and our bodies were still on east coast time. Nice to enjoy a buzz after a few glasses. The guacamole at $9 was very ordinary. The chips and salsa were fine.... More

I agree as many have previously spoken, seems customers aren't there for the food. Chili con queso was excellent, however, as were the chips and salsa. Seems mostly a gay hang out with loud music.

How can i say it's three stars? The food is really so so. Service is good. Drinks are better. Just a fun tex-mex gay restaurant. Good with kids too (especially all you can eat Taco Tuesday).

I have been going here for years. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Good food, good service. Use valet parking because it is hard to find unless you like to walk.

I'm in LA often and always try to stop here, it's one of my favorites. It's right in the heart of West Hollywood which is a fun trendy part of Hollywood (also the gay capital of LA). the fajitas are the best here and a good sharing plate. We usually get the pitcher of margaritas as well. I love the... More

This place was packed on a Friday night. Enjoyable food, nice price point and average service. I'd visit again.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
