I have dined at many japanese restaurants as I travel however this one offered dishes I have never been offered before. They are obviously very traditional Japanese dishes as my waiter suggested that I may not like the dishes I chose as they often get left on the table by western diners. The pickles octopus legs & raw potato were... More

Setiap kali kami ke LA, furaibo adalah restaurant Yg wajib dikunjungi. Tebasaki chicken is superb! Bisa dipilih tingkat spicy nya: mild, medium, or extra spicy. Menu lainnya pun extraordinary: Ika karaege yang crispy bgt, juicy Japanese steak, and delicious mouth watering Korean BBQ. The Korean BBQ is better than the one in Korean restaurant itself

I love this place b/c it has a nice vibe & you can share tons of affordable, small Japanese tapas. Food is really good. everyone I've ever brought to this place LOVED it.the only person who didn't was just the type who thinks that Japanese = sushi..you can't rsv a table which sucks but the wait is OK. Then you... More

I visited this restaurant with a local friend who chose it and totally understood why he likes it so much. Great food, service and prices. I would definitely go back.

The food is actually good, and cheap. Great for jap style tapas, wings are excellent, other food are OK. Problem is I find the food is not special enough to go back.

Tried all type of skewers and found everything is delicious. The fried rice also enough for 2-3 persons sharing. Cawan mushin also nice

If you are looking for a great Japanese place that serves small, plates this is the best you'll get in the west! (West LA) haha really great dishes overall, but be ready for a wait! The wait here is not about the hype, its all about the food.

Had dinner there the other evening. I was waiting for my friend, and even though the restaurant was mostly empty, the hostess wouldn't seat me until he got there. I understand big parties, but come on. Pretentious and lame. Also the chairs are the most uncomfortable things I have ever sat on in my life. No bueno. They could use... More

Food to share, lot of great small plates to share with a pint of beer :-) Their chicken and beef plates taste great especially their sweet and spicy chicken.

i've been coming to FuRaiBo now for a long time, and even with the steady hipsterizing of this strip of Sawtelle, it remains the nice, dark-wood izakaya place it is supposed to be. menus are in English and Japanese. it's famous for its tebasaki chicken, which are a style of fried chicken with a sweetish spicy-ish glaze...however, i never order...
