A must! Views, food, view, ease and mind blowing overall experience. Hubby and I have done lots of European art galleries etc. The Getty and Restaurant surpass expectations. Try to plan two days. We didn't have reservations. Came at 1pm lunch sitting. Great seats, food, and prices. Recommend aperitifs era with lake & hummus and / or tomato and burrata!

When asked how long was the wait for outside sitting, the hostess rudely said that we just had to wait. When I asked if she could check the status she was not responsive. We saw the empty table and the manager got it ready for us. This kind of establishment with tourists coming from all over the world should show... More

This is a wonderful restaurant to dine, whether or not you are interested in visiting the Getty. The food is delicious, the service good, views spectacular. The food is seasonal, so the menu changes. The tomato & burrata appetizer was fabulous, and Shelton chicken yummy. Champagne by the glass not as overpriced as some restaurants. I will definitely be back.

This is a nice place for a break from visiting the Getty museum. Definitely fine dining. The hubs and I made reservations the day before our visit, requesting a 12:30 time. Open Table told us we could only do 12:15 or 12:45 so we selected 12:45. We showed up at 12:30 and lo and behold, we were seated pretty quickly,... More

After wandering around the museum, this is an excellent quiet getaway from the crowds. Very modern luxury, white tablecloth dining. Food was very good, and surprisingly not that pricey (for lunch at least). Food was what you expect from a higher end restaurant. Had the sea bass and tomato bisque. Both nicely prepared. The soup was a real treat. But... More

You invite eight friends to a birthday brunch and make a reservation a week before the date and then are told.........the reservation did not make it into the computer? Beyond embarrassing. After four calls and at least twenty minutes on "hold," Al, the manager, still refused to get on the phone with me. This place caters to a captive and... More

It's a big of an effort to go to the Getty Center in the first place -- it's not the kind of place where you pop in for an hour. So the people who end up at the restaurant are all-in for savoring the experience at a luxurious pace. It's a big room, with fantastic views and dreamy decor that... More

I visited the Getty Center Restaurant during a recent trip to LA to see old friends. We planned dinner to break up our visit to the galleries and special exhibits at the Getty. We arrived five minutes ahead of our reservation and were told we had to wait until the EXACT time, even though there were open tables. There was... More

Consistent with the overall experience of the Getty Center, this restaurant is excellent. The cuisine, decor and ambiance were all just right. Great views.
