Dark location in a basement on Beverly Blvd. Ordinary decor. Celeb crowd, good food, nice service, noisy. That's about all, but the place is packed. Impossible to book if you are not on the "list". Try to understand... That's BH !!!

Los Angeles and West Hollywood has so much more than this very average place. Nothing terrible but nothing to write a postcard home about...and the price says you deserve more.

The concierge at the Beverly Wilshire recommended Madeo to us as a good way to spend our last night in Beverly Hills. Upon arrival we were greeted with mediocre enthusiasm. As we were early we made our way to the bar to have a drink before dinner. We were seated within 30 minutes. We found our waiter and sommelier to... More

This was my first visit to Los Angeles and Madeo Ristorante. I must say as an Italian who frequently travels back home, this place was impressive!! The food was full of the flavor I look for in great Italian food. Everything was prepared traditionally with the finest ingredients. My husband had the osso buco-it was perfect! We sampled the pizza,... More

Food is out of this world. Order the Madeo sauce. Service was top notch. Its a tough reservation so make one well in advance. Great people watching. Its a old restaurant but very hip.

I am a lover of Italian food, but this restaurant takes it to another level. The food is consistently good. I've been frequenting this restaurant for more than 10 years. Excellent service. The only negative comments I would make, is that the restaurant is too small, and the tables are very close to each other.

The staff are very Italian and watched over by the ageing patron who bustles from table to table in his apron giving his patrons the warmest of welcomes. Definitely worth a vist if you like traditional Italian food. But do book ahead as this place is busy until late every night. Popular with locals and its a great place for... More

Nobody was rude, and we were treated great. It is old school Italian which was great. My sea bass was off the charts good. Highly recommend this place too if u are looking for celebs. LL Cool J sat right next to me. Would for sure go again.

I have eaten here many times over the years with my family. The food is always excellent. It's an interesting place in that you take stairs down to get to the restaurant and the windows are high up, so it has a "cellar" kind of feel, but very high end. In my opinion, it has a New York City feel,... More

My husband and I went here for our one year anniversary as a recommendation from a friend. The gentleman to sat us was very nice and friendly. First thing I noticed was how closely we were sitting to another couple. It was not private at all and felt awkward having conversations with someone directly next to me, sharing a booth... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
