I have been trying to get into this restaurant forever. One would think that after trying for over six years that I would have experienced success. Today my efforts end. The people that answer the phone brush you off, they're rude and I was literally...just hung up on while I was asking a question that she refused to answer. Seems to be common, there are a lot of complaints about rude, snotty hostesses. Once I thought I got in because they activated their open table listing to accept reservations, only to get a phone call telling me that I didn't actually have a reservation because they don't take reservations through open table and they canceled me and left me with nothing. So at this point I really don't care how good their food is because their customer service is so atrocious that I don't want to give them my hard-earned money and I don't think you should either. If you want to be treated like a parasite then keep calling and let the children answering the phone harass and mistreat you. Otherwise, I suggest going to any of the other numerous delicious restaurants in LA but I would stay away from this place at all cost. I don't care how long a business has been in business for, when they treat people this way it eventually ends with an out of business sign and I'm looking forward to that day. This restaurant doesn’t deserve any accolades because if you don’t know how to treat people, what else do you have? Vote with your pocketbook, I know I am!More

I was literally told they had no reservations indefinitely in the future. They ask you for your number and decide after looking u up if you are worth giving a reservation to. Jackie the hostess literally hung up on me.

Best Italian Food in Beverly Hills. If you have to pick one place, go here. Simple. Authentic as can be. Small and simple menu. Owner is at the restaurant and always smiling.

fantastic food, wonderful old-school service from staff for whom catering is not only a career but a way of life, old-school menu, and great wine list - what's not to like?

It was our first visit but felt like we were regulars in this very warm and comfortable spot. We were treated so well and Alfio made several visits to our table and had wonderful conversation with us. The food was delicious authentic Italian cuisine. We...were served by Dario who was such a warm and delightful server so willing to explain the dishes and help us with all our needs. THANKYOU so much, above and beyond!More

First, Madeo's is not open on Beverly Drive at this time. It relocated to 362 N Camden Drive in Beverly Hills. The food, service, and ambiance are 5 stars. The problem is the wine list which has a pretty good list of wines but (1)...they are all very young, and (2) prices are extraordinarily high. I like good wine and am willing to pay good prices, but the prices of the wines at Madeo make me feel like I am being gouged. For me the wine and food experience are closely interrelated, so I have downgraded a 5-star rating for the restaurant for the very young and very expensive wine list. Fortunately, they will let you bring wines and pay corkage.More

Madeo oozes tradition, and from the moment you walk in the door. The food revolves around classic Italian best sellers - Think amatriciana, cotoletta and even their namesake; a classic napoletana sauce. Standing head and shoulders above any competition in the vicinity, Madeo is definitely...a place you want to book ahead for. We came with 2 young kids under 2.5, and they were extremely accomodating. Even the owner came out to greet us before the meal - you've got new Australian customers for life!More

It’s definitely past it’s prime even if the host and hostess try to make it seem like it’s very hard finding a table. Ground floor is mostly very old regulars and the vibe is that of BH retirement home. Definitely need some young and trendy...clients to make it buzz again. Italian waiters try to hard but come out looking fake. Food is good but simple and no Wow factor. Much better places to dine in the area.More

Our concierge at the Beverly Hills Hotel made our reservation at our request. The hostess was extremely rude and immediately had us escorted to the third floor with the young families . It was our last night there and this was not the atmosphere we...wanted. We complained and they said we could sit in the bar— the food was good, the waiters were all very nice but we will not go back because of the hostess and her attitude.👎🏻More
