I have been going to the palm for almost 30 years. Starting inNYC than when I moved to LA the old Palm on Santa Monica. I tried the new Palm 2 weeks after it opened & was very disappointed. Service was not up to par & food was lacking. I returned last night with my family for a second try.... More

The palm is always great no matter what location you visit. I am always amazed that lobsters can grow so big and still taste so great. The LA location is not as nostalgic feeling as the original place in NYC with lobsters taking up every inch of counter space but the food is just as good. The staff are always... More

Visited here on the final night of our LA trip. Easy booking via opentable online. the restaurant is nicely sized and fairly quiet. Service and food quality was brilliant. Had steak for main course and the portions were huge, probably too much for the average person. Would definitely visit here again and would recommend to anyone who loves their steak.

Once upon a time (well...maybe just three years ago or so) the Palm Restaurant on Santa Monica Blvd. used to be our favorite restaurant in all of Los Angeles and we'd go there once or twice a month. It's maitre D's---Cedric, Shaun, Jonathan (now RIP) treated everyone like rock stars and it was a great place to be. But since... More

The three of us went there for dinner on a Friday night. We were seated promptly, and the service was excellent throughout the meal. The food was excellent, but there were a few surprises. One of us ordered the Wedge Salad. He loved it, but it was massive; easily enough for two, perhaps three people. He also had the veal,... More

The Palm is a famous, long-time Los Angeles restaurant, noted for it's large portions of meat and lobster. We went for lunch, and I was disappointed, having been here for dinner about 12 months prior. My wife and I split a shaved steak sandwich, with was tender and juicy, but nothing special at $16, and a Gigi salad, meant to... More

Wish I could give 4.5 stars. You gotta want steak and other specialties to go to the Palm. It's not for everyone. I miss the old location with all of the movie star photos on the walls cuz it was more casual. The new place on Canon in BevHills is good but modern and seems to be missing some of... More

The service, the food, the price was so very good. The rib eye steak melts in your mouth and always comes out perfect. Yes it's a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny.

Went for lunch with family after my nephew's graduation. Good service and food was serviced quickly. You could run into almost anyone. We saw a few Hollywood stars.

I went here the other night. I have no complaints. Started with salads that were good. Calamari was good but nothing amazing. We had a strip steak that was very very thick. Three people shared it. Steak was cooked perfect. It was very tender and had lots of flavor. It wasn't busy the night we were there. Our service was... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
