In all, a nice Mexican restaurant. Good house Margarita. Extensive menu of some standards and some less common dishes. Ours were well prepared. The mole sauce was quite nice. But, $7 for chips and uninspired salsa (likely from a bottle)? That didn't sit well with...More

I saw none of the foods featured from the Gordon Ramsey rescue show. Where was the mussels or red snapper. Can I get something other than a quesadilla? I was looking for something more than the american-style mexican food.

Gordon Ramsay from the famous restaurant show redid the place and it looks wonderful. The restaurant is very clean, well lit with original latin american art on the walls and nice booth seating. Service by Martine was exceptional. He is very informative and fast bringing...More

Don't know what happened to this place, but it was bad. Tasteless food and very poor service. Ordered sour cream with the dinner for 3 of us - it never came. When we asked the man ( owner/manager?) about it , he said the waitress...More

Very attentive service, but an uneven quality in dishes. My companion's fish taco was great; the chicken taco was bland. The guacamole was excellent; the pico de gallo wasn't very interesting. My chicken enchiladas with mole were very good, yet this particular mole might not...More

Good chips and guac, open for lunch (lots of business customers), sopes are great. The shredded beef is tasty! Not as heavy as other Mexican food places

I was staying on the west side of LA and wanted some Mexican food before flying out. A friend suggested we go to La Serenata. They specialize in the seafood apparently but choices were limited. The guacamole was average. They served a delicious sauce though...More

La Serenata is a great place for former residents of Mexico City living in LA. I would describe this as gourmet Mexico City food; as all the traditional dishes are served well. Order an entrée here such as chicken mole poblano, or chicken tropical so...More

We've been here 3 or 4 times. It's always seemed pricey for lunch, but the fresh fish is good. This last time convinced me I don't need to come back. First, the server quoted us dinner prices, even though we were there at 12.30 pm...More

Serenata is near my home on the West side of Los Angeles. It is one of the restaurants that is near our popular Movie Theater. I like the way the food is prepared. They have dishes that are not the normal taco faire. I love...More

the best way to make a reservation is to log on to Open Table. There are several Seranats. The one I go to is on Pico Blvd. In west Los Angeles. You can communicate that way.
