We loved our experience. The waiter gave us so much history about the place that has been here since 1922. We sat at table 15 which was John Wayne's table and he told us about Walt Disney who was also a regular. We loved our prime rib and lobster the ambience and the waiter was awesome. It was our anniversary... More

Tam O'Shanter has been a favorite place to dine with my friends. It is owned by Lawry's. He decor is classic cozy English. The food is delicious. Their specialty is prime rib, but they have fish dishes also. Desserts are wonderful. Our favorite to share is the hot fudge sundae. The service is excellent. You are never rushed and you... More

Because my friend has been to this restaurant and had many excellent experiences, I expected to have a similar experience. He ordered a blackened Prime Rib which he has ordered many times before. My salad came and I finished it. Then our dinners came. Mine was ok, nothing special. His came but was NOT blackened! He sent it back to... More

We were told that Walt Disney was a lunch regular in this charming restaurant that originally opened in 1922. My daughter enjoyed her Prime Rib Dinner, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Creamed Spinach Yorkshire Pudding. Service was friendly and outstanding. I definitely plan on returning.

Recently, I dined at Tam O'Shanter to celebrate an occasion with my family. Several of us ordered end cuts of prime rib. When the entries were brought out, one of them was so dried out as to be unedible. We returned that entree with sides to the waiter and asked for a replacement. Shortly after, the waiter comes back to... More

Went to get a bite and drink before an event. It was quiet and cozy. Great service. Strong drinks-but they don't come cheap! $14 each. Had the fish and chips that had the perfect amount of coating and was mostly fish so you could taste it. The fish was good. Better than most, but not what I would ordedr again.... More

For years, the Tam has been our go-to place for small celebrations. But lately, something's different and I can't quite put my finger on it. On this most recent visit, I had the Lamb Sirloin special. There was flavor, but there was also some sinewy gristle running through several pieces and a sauce that left a fatty feeling on my... More
