Wonderful Scottish food where you can find fine food, wine and song if you time it right! Try the Rarebit and Shepard pie! The wait staff if top notch. They actually know proper etiquette. Which is a Lovely change of pace. We have never had trouble finding parking as they have a valet that always can find room! Go for... More

We decided to meet at this restaurant for our yearly get-together. We sat at the table that was Walt Disney's favorite table, when he came to the Tam. In fact, on the surface of the table are faint carvings, made by some of the Imagineers who shared a meal with Walt. Susie and I decided to try the Fish and... More

The Tam O'Shanter is a Los Angeles institution. Although I was a resident of LA for nearly 30 years, I didn't experience the place until my waning days in the city. I remember in the 1990s I had a landlord who lived in Loz Feliz and she had been going to the Tam O'Shanter for decades -- always telling me... More

We went specifically because we had heard this was one of the best (actually the best) restaurant in the country for Christmas dinner. We were not disappointed! Never mind the history of the place - since the 1930's, Walt Disney, Snow White's cottage, blah, blah, the service and the food were excellent. We chose the roast turkey with stuffing and... More

My son took us here for my Birthday! We normally go to Lawry's, but had never been here. We had a great time here. Warm, cozy, atmosphere. Food was wonderful. Service was outstanding. We will go back for sure. Charming, very charming! It was decorated for Christmas and had roving Carollers who knew every Christmas song you can imagine. Prime... More

Stopped in just on the cusp between brunch and the dinner menu, so we didn't see the dinner menu. The rueben paninni was excellent, not too salty. Bottomless champagne was not too sweet, maybe a little TOO tasty. Good burger and fries. Warm, friendly service, cutest little waitress. Would totally come here again, next time we are in town!

Being from Yorkshire, I can tell you the Yorkshire puddings served here are pretty decent. Food overall was quite tasty. It's a nice little English pub themed restaurant which contains a bit of Disney history.

the place is a landmark .It has been around since 1922 and rich in history. Prime rib and traditional Scottish fare what this place is known for.Portions are large . the desert selections are disappointing. The trifle was ok. Being tall the chairs were not too comfortable. All parking is valet with a $2.50 service charge which seems unnecessary

The prime rib dinners here are superb. We both had a different style of prime rib. I had the T'am Oshanter, which is the original prime rib cut, served medium rare. My husband enjoyed the English Cut medium. This is thinly cut slices of prime rib. They both came with vegetables (either creamed corn or creamed spinach), Yorkshire pudding, and... More

We've been to this restaurant many times and have always enjoyed it. However tonight was very disappointing. Service was very slow and my husband had to send his prime rib back. I'm hoping this was a one-time occurrence and next visit will be as expected, wonderful.
