While this is one of the best coffee's you'll ever taste, and the food is great too, this Pasadena location has been suffering seriously bad service. On this occasion Management was running around the restaurant making sure everything was going well. It's great to see a restaurant and Management get all over a problem and get it resolved swiftly. It is a good place to grab a bite but they almost always have long lines. The staff is really courteous and makes the experience more delightful.

At first I was a little concerned about the service because first you have to order and pay and then you can find a place to sit. But the staff is working very fast and they have a lot of space so after couple of minutes we were waiting for food. Great design, awesome location and food....looks and tastes great.... More

A local from LA invited me out to brunch at this cafe on a Saturday and it was packed. It's close to the Arts District in Downtown LA so it is a good starting point if you're looking to walk around (towards Little Tokyo, El Pueblo, etc.). I had the poached eggs with parma ham on toast as well as... More

Always a line for taking your order. Spinach omelette panini, an Americano plus Waffles with strawberries, it is a sure bet. Terrace is nice, crowded but with ambiance. If you are in downtown LA and have time for a breakfast with no hurries, Saturday or Sunday do not hesitate, this is the place.

Good food, great romantic atmosphere. Plenary of space to sit outside, and valet parking across the street. Try the Mediterranean falafel dish with incredible cold wild rice with mango. For desert, try the sweet potato pie! Perfect place to take. Date, take a stroll before or after around the Art District.

My daughter and I love Urth cafe. They have several locations. The food is always excellent. Casual and very popular. You may have to wait for a table.

I had dinner here with a few colleagues after a conference and we were lucky enough to get a table with only a 20 minute wait. The place is somewhat small inside and offers outside dining as well, but it is more popular than it can accommodate. I had one of the salads and it was very good, as was... More

There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification.
