We had dinner here on a Friday night. The restaurant was very busy, with mainly a younger crowd. It was very warm that evening and we were able to get a table outside where it was quieter. My husband actually ran into someone he knew, also from out of town, trying the restaurant for the 1st time. It clearly has... More

Another great choice for Sunday lunch, much as its sister restaurant Bar Ama. The food is always wonderful, and, unlike most Sunday options, it offers a a choice of various dishes. Try the carne picada.

We were told this place was really good and we were not disappointed. Reservations are a must and it can be a bit noisy. The chicken "wings" were wonderful and the Brussel sprouts and the cauliflower did not disappoint. All very interestingly made. Would definitely go back a second time.

It's been a while since I went there and I have no idea why. This was the first place in a while where I could describe the food as great-- there were bold interesting flavors not found in our usual California cuisine or sushi which are the mainstays for us in LA. At that time reservations were tough to get,... More

We started out meal with the Za'atar, eggplant and fava dips. So yummy with the flatbread. Then had the amazing Bazole soup and the salad. Both were a lustful blend of ingredients which your palate begged for more. We had several other sides including the brussel sprouts and the cauliflower. Both were delicious. This was followed by the yellow beet... More

was looking for another restaurant for lunch and read about the good review of this one. I made a booking and drove all the way from South Pasadena to try it with a friend. The waitress was very enthusiastic and recommended the special Baco Sandwitch. As I said that I would go easy with carb but would still try one... More

Cool restaurant in downtown LA. Mostly smaller plates and several larger ones. Highly recommend -- ricotta fritters, Brussels sprouts, mushroom flatbread, hand torn pasta, Japanese eggplant, steak (large plate only one), and half chicken. The only thing we didn't love was the octopus and pork belly plate. Great for sharing and trying lots of dishes. Too full for dessert :)... More

Wow! Just wow! Went here because we were nearby based on yelp recommendations. It really exceeded our expectations. Ricotta fritters were especially delicious and so was salad with goat cheese and warm pears. Amazing ingredients creatively combined. I only had food of this quality in France. I wish we had something like this on the east coast!.

Fabulous quality, great taste and perfect sized portions. It's tapas, but not too small. Very friendly staff as well, we had a great evening!

DTLA must have a lot of wonderful restaurants, b/c this place was fab and we didn't have a problem getting a reservation. We ate outside on the sidewalk tables which made for a fun people watching experience. We focused on the small plates, and didn't try the baco's, big plates or flatbread. We started with the (almost) obligatory ricotta fritters.... More
